The aroma of pipe smoke when in the outdoors takes on a extra quality. Cant explain it, Im sure you agree. And i imagined that, Steve as you sat there enjoying yourself and everything about you. Fine video, great dogs, sweet 77. Thanks for the journey. ScottinUSA

Thank you Scott, it’s a great place to be, and a pipe just adds an extra layer of relaxation to what already feels very laid back. Pipe smoke somehow smells more fragrant and less Smokey outdoors, it may be just my imagination, but it definitely seems less harsh on the nose. All the best my friend 🙏

We all have the same problem especially if you get a rough cut tobacco or one that's a little to moist grinding a little bit makes a hell of a difference I've been smoking thirty plus years it took me some time to click on the idea Glad I did.

@chroniclesofahalfwit And don't worry about how many times you have to relight your pipe, it's normal with various blends of tobacco and just a part of the process. Hello again just a little tip for you. if you have certain blends that are a bugger to get going like myself. I got a herb grinder From ebay you know the type l mean. Fill your pipe as usual and leave a little room at the top grind a small amount and fill the rest of the pipe. It's the camp fire principle little sticks medium sticks big sticks. If I have some bits left over I put them in a tictac container in the jar for next time it works a treat keep up the good work all the best Allan 👍

Well done. Great sharing your first light experience. As a lot of the comments, you did great. Molto Dolche is a nice tobacco but due to the moisture it does take a few relights, it’s trying to get the balance right. If you dry it before too much you lose a bit of flavour, but if you don’t dry it, you can’t keep it lit. So good luck trialling it. 👍
@chroniclesofahalfwit2 күн бұрын

I don't think anyone forgets that first bowl. But it is certainly very rare to witness someone's first! The first pipe will always hold a lot of sentimental value, too. You make your mistakes with that pipe as you get into it, and then it becomes an old friend throughout your journey. Molto Dolce is a very good tobacco to begin with and just remember, like a new driver, all us smokers have made the same mistakes and on occasion, still do! You'll do just fine with Johnathan's guidance, I sure did when I first started. Really enjoyed sharing your first bowl with you, and thank you for bringing us along, Sir!

Thank you my friend, I was a little dubious about filming my first bowl, but it was a unique opportunity, and I don’t mind setting myself up for a giggle at my expense 😂 I’ll learn as I go, I have plenty of time to get to grips with everything, it’s a journey, and like all journeys, more enjoyable if not rushed. All the best, Steve
