The channel that plays multiple notes?, It's a 25% pulse that plays in arpeggios, so it scrolls through the notes since it only has 3 channels, not counting the noise. The arpeggios are necessary.

@@JoLiKMC I think you are confusing vibratos and appegios Appegios are about playing multiple notes quickly instead of simultaneously, and appegios are effective when managing multiple notes on a game boy. . I understand that the appegios seem weird, even I find them weird, but I don't understand that the vibratos are weird.

In a single-channel setting, I can't tell the difference between arpeggio and vibrato. One is, as you said, "multiple notes played quickly" while the other is the rapid pitch modulation of a single note… and they sound almost exactly the same to me due to the limits of the 2A03 or LR35902 sound chips. I'm also not sure I've ever heard arpeggio _or_ vibrato done with a real instrument before. So…
