Been wanting to do an intake set up like you did for my dads 03 2.7!! How did you end up mounting that filter on there? Did you just tap a hole into the filter housing for the air temp sensor?

I used a mini spool at first meant for a 1st gen tracker then switched to a lock right ratcheting mechanical locker meant for a 96-98 tracker

Did you have the tourqe specs for the chain tensioners an cam sprocket bolt prtty much the torque specs if you were doing a complete timing chain kit

I am VERY late but i have a 2001 4d v6 tracker. I am looking at some 235 75 15 mud tires. Will those work without a lift? I plan putting new oem suspension to raise it a tad more since the ones on it are shot and I have 1.25in bolt on spacers in my cart just incase.

I should rephrase. I know the tires will work I am more so asking if the spacers will help with the frame rub since I plan on not lifting the vehicle as of now.

Im very interested in the tire clearance on your tracker. How much space do you have between the tire and the frame on the front after adding the wheel spacers? Did you happen to see how much contact you were getting with those tires before installing the spacers?

Cheers, need to replace the hideous chain rattle from the top tensioner and needed to see which tensioner I needed. Avoiding replacing the whole timing chain for now unless I see an issue

I had so many issues finding because mine is a 5 speed and parking brake doesn't let drl's come on while brake is engaged. I had to chaulk wheels and put parking brake down.

Update Since I didn't know the position in plug of correct wire. I referred to your video and repair manual wire diagram. And found correct wire by removing red/white wire from plug to replace in plug if I was wrong. Taped it up. Looks good so far. Thanks for your video

I have a 2000 vitara and my wire in that location on the plug is black and white. Opposite corner on plug is white red stripe. Can you clarify where the connector release is on the plug. Plz

Sorry I really don't have any part numbers.. but you really need a complete donor v6 tracker or grand Vitara because you will need all the wiring and drivetrain

yo quick question dawg. I have a rattle on my suzuki and its coming from the front end either in the engine bay or near. Ive tightened everything on my exhaust and took some heat shields off and still nothing. you have a possible clue?

Recently had a engine and light problem, and battery drain problem. Didn't think I had DRL because it never worked, but the auto headlamp module worked when it gets dark. I thought both functions worked through the DRL module so I just unplugged it under the dash. Turns out unplugging it had no affect on the dome light function or the auto headlight function (WTF?). We'll see if it takes care of my battery drain. Way too much wiring in these Trackers and no service manual I could find has the section "8" wiring diagrams.

I dod the same woth the 2.7 from the suzuki XL7s. Can't remember the cut off year but a 2002 fits in the 3rd gen Chevy Trackera (1996 - 2004) as if it were stock. Pulled the wire harness and basically just slapped it in. So much fun, so ballsy.

My roommate has an 01 tracker and the headlight won't turn off at all even with the engine off and key out. We'll see if we can get to the module to cut the wire.

Sorry I know this is late, I have been away from KZbin.. but you will have to swap the main harness, dash/dash harness, engine harness and computer because they are completely different. Gauge clusters are different between 4 and 6 cylinders

Thanks for this video, the lights always being "ON" on my 2003 Tracker was bugging me. I was beginning to wonder why even have a light switch. So I watched your video this morning and went out and did what you did and now it's fixed. Wish KZbin was around back in the day... Thanks again!!

So I'm gonna do the same swap in my 2 door hardtop, is there any tips you can give, like will the v6 engine mounts bolt to the 2 door and will the 2 door diff and trans work well with the v6 I gave the auto trans, will swap it soon

The 4 doors and 2 doors have the same front end, so the v6 will bolt in fine as long as you use the v6 motor mount isolators. As far as the trans, you will have to use the v6 trans because 2 door one will not bolt up

why is it you think this? I have owned a Grand Vitara with 2.7 V6 (non-vvt) and a Jimny 1.3 (non-vvt). the J20a GV's are sluggish unless turbo'd compared to the V6 2.7. If you are speaking from a turbo standpoint it is easier to tune but there's definitely a reason why Suzuki used a twin turbo setup for their Pikes Peak Escudo Rally Car instead of 4 banger. Right now I'm looking around for a 2.7 to put in my Jimny in the future.

@@jessebrown1400 I'm using an M13A for a small helicopter. As far as engine design goes it is far better than certified aircraft engines (with modifications). I looked at the H20A but it is too complex and a V6 is not a good platform for aircraft engines. If it was inline 6 it would be exceptional. I agree an M13A is not a great choice for a 4WD vehicle, the H25/27 would be better. the M13A is a better design than the Hayabusa engine in my opinion. However, an engines popularity is widely based on the platform it is used in.

I wonder if you can show me how to fix my four-wheel drive shifter. what could happen if the four wheel drive shifter lever went sideways. mine's laying on its side at the moment. I hate to admit it but I was sleeping across the two front seats, and when I woke up the shifter lever was laying on its side. Possibilities of a just slipping out of its socket or breaking.? Probably broken know my luck. Can you help me out buddy. Thanks. Oh by the way 1990 Geo tracker two door 4x4

Pull your center console and the dust boot for the shifter. Pull the shifter boot clamp off and pop the shifter boot up and look inside the shifter tower. There is a "keeper" that looks like an upside down cup with 2 hooks that keeps the shifter ball in place. I would start there
