Never got a business name, as they sell mainly to wholesalers, but fish out of Homosassa, FL.

I've worked on a commercial boat in 🇦🇺 and I still cannot work out why American boats don't have a sorting table, it relieves the pressure on the back, working away from a hot deck and you don't damage any of the hard earned shrimp/products... I'd like to know the reasons why American boats don't have a sorting table?????

19,700 lbs of mackerel would be worth approximately **$79,097** at the average price.

So cool, bro!!! Awesome!!!. This is exactly how the Atlantic weakfish fishery off NC was destroyed, for multiple states. The ignorance here overwhelming.

You needed to have gotten yourself out of the way, instead of forcing your face into every scene. It’ a failed video, in that it was not about Elizabethton and residents. It was about you, unfortunately.

I used to work on lobster boats in Pictou landing , Nova Scotia , Canada back in my younger years when work was slow in my trade. We fished 300 traps and they were set in 10 traps to a line. Our traps were different than those traps . They still weighed 90-120 socked . We also fished mackerel and it was not as big as those king mackerel i watched you do in another video. FYI I really enjoy your video's

Patient, level-headed Skipper, knowledgeable, skilled crew. Most excellent video! Land lubbers don't often get to learn, first hand, what you did, Scott. Good on ya for pitching in as much as a nugget can. Fair winds and following seas to Miss Key West and all whom sail in her! In my own house, we buy American products every chance we get. Poop-fed imported shrimp? 🤮

This crew actually seem to respect one another. In most of the documentaries I’ve seen of fishermen at sea, it’s either a pissing contest or some passive-aggressive guys that secretly hate each other. I know it’s one of the hardest jobs out there, but that’s no reason to take it out on your colleagues at sea. Much respect for these people: they’re the reason we have all this food to eat!

When I got to work on barges and boats, I was truly disappointed at what people do when they are someplace no body can see and the things they dump in the ocean or left behind. The ocean is literally a free for all with no witness.

So why a purse gillnet rather than just a normal purse seine? Why wait several hours to pull the net in?

Loved this video. Julie (Farris) and I knew Andrew beginning in 1972. We travelled with the Group he was a part of and loved Andrew (and Deborah) way back then. We left the "Group" in late 1975 but have loved staying connected through Facebook. Our prayers go out to Erica and the rest of Andrew's family and friends. Great job creating this video. Thank you Scott.
