Most enduring bands struggled for their success, yes, but if any band EARNED their success it's The B-52's. From making their own local concerts in the countryside because the couldn't afford anything else, and from just having fun and making goofy music to then writing some top the best rock-and-roll track's from the 1980's, hat's off the the B-52's! Each is a true expression of joy!

Roam is my all time favorite track from the B52's and Cosmic Thing is a fantastic album

Lip -Syncing or not the B-52s were great live, I have seen a lot of live acts and the B-52s were one of the best shows I ever went to. They had a great energy, the crowd was totally into it, and they put on a fantastic show. I had the great pleasure of seeing them at Red Rocks in Denver Colorado, we were about row 6 right in the middle and it was lit. It was loud, not as loud as Billy Idol was, that one left my ears ringing for a while.

I got introduced to the B’52s with Love Shack & I just didn’t really get them. It wasn’t until hearing their first two albums that I figured out they were a serious rock/pop/new wave/dance band that didn’t take themselves too seriously….then I figured out what they were up to. Great fun band live.
