3:10 As a 20-plus year Tekken vet (Tekken gene activated at birth, lol), THANK YOU for saying this. One of the biggest issues I have with Tekken, especially compared to other 3D fighters, is that it does little in-game to teach you how to REALLY play it, apart from "hit these buttons to attack". With as much as you absolutely need to learn to get better, having a guide in game to show you how to get off the damn ground (there's like nine wakeup options, all of which are important to higher-level Tekken) would be insanely helpful. Also, Bruce Irvin needs to come back. I haven't had my main in Tekken in over TWELVE YEARS, and it hurts.😢

man i could be so good at tekken if i could just break throws, it's the one thing i just can't do, i eat every throw
@prismriot4910Ай бұрын
If you can figure out when they do it (let’s say a king does 1,2, grab) you can also duck throws. Now, ducking that much does open you up to get hit, but if you can fuzzy duck you’ll have an easier time.

I started with Reina and got to the yellow ranks pretty quickly but I felt I wasn't really playing the game properly, just relying on frame traps and her aggression being so strong. I swapped to Dragunov and it took me a bit longer to get to yellow because I started trying to focus on punishing and stealing my turn. I felt like he was a good character to learn on because his damage output is high enough coming from just a few moves so I could play a more defensive style before going for my aggression.

This was a really good video! Hope you keep it up, its always cool to watch people try tekken! Also against kings and players that grab in general try to pay attention to what arm they lead with the grab.1 breaks left 2 breaks right and 1+2 breaks both hands

By the end of the video I see you went leverless. Interesting. How do you like it? Been thinking of switching myself. You have the Tekken heart. Getting pumped and having the adrenaline kick in when you promoted to red rank is normal. A skill game that will continue to reward you for years to come. Welcome to Tekken.

The whole point of this video type is for the end result to be unclear and to have fun guessing what the end result actually is, hence the thumbnail. I changed to the old one from “god” to the old one for people who don’t like that word being thrown around 🤷🏽♀️

New players typically don’t play Mishima. It takes countless hours of gameplay to actually be good with one. I don’t like playing carry characters in any fighting games but it doesn’t shock me that newer players enjoy them.
