@@Hasan-jf7by we get great results, over-all. The fish will sometimes mostly bite on the boards, and then sometimes rarely. Just depends on what they want any given day.

So I’m just starting out on my Albacore career. Where does one get those nifty full color displays of Sea Surface Temperature? I assume it’s a subscription service, but don’t really know. Seems essential for Tuna fishing.

Great actiion and great crew inneraction. I would not call you half assed at all. I like it you are completely calm while you have controlled chaos on the deck! It looks like you are spiking your fish. That's very cool. I'm just curious if you have a drain in your bleed barrel and if you are draining the blood while you continue to fish? I've seen where some guys feel the blood scent trail will scare the fish. Thanks

@@TheRotchy1 its a thirty gallon barrel. I installed a pvc drain in the bottom. We dont drain until were done tuna fishing... instant sharks!

If You like Canned tuna, Its very simple to Can Albacore at home. It will last many month in the refrigerator. When fresh, all these dark meat fish, are tasty any way you prepare them

You said your top shot mono was 250 lb. What pound test are you running for your braid and for your 6’ mono leader? And thanks a bunch for the video. I just bought a boat that will allow me to chase tuna so I’m trying to learn all I can.

Top shot is usually 150 to 250# on tuna rods, and 80# braid. I use 250# top shot on way-back rods, and 200# braid. Just depends on what ive got on hand and whats in stock at the store. You can always email, DM, or call. I can get you dialed in. Tight lines.

Good fishing, but hand lines would be much easier and much faster. You have room for about 4 across the back at different lengths. Use the polls to keep the fish coming. Don't pull them in until the hand lines don't produce. Just my opinion. You can do it anyway you like. Just have fun.

Oh god, I can’t wait to hear the spinning noise once a hog hits the bait🤗 Good idea about taking notes on the line so you know when it’s getting wear and tear. Any suggestions for videos on knots?🪢 Just know the FG knot with a judo finish? It’s nice having a couple extra rods in case one fails. What kind of coffee do you drink? I’m sure it’s important to have good coffee😉 Thanks for all the info!! Definitely helps me understand some of the whys and being a better fisherman.

FG knot with a Rizzuto finish... thats the knot weve been using for the last two seasons and it seems to hold up very well.

I enjoy fishing videos but this video is obviously so amateur filmmaking and terrible music that sounds like every opening successful videos I’ve heard in the past. 👍chunk of a fish, nice job. I bought a TJ Chinook Pro this winter and prepping for the Hali and Tuna out of Newport this spring/summer and was just curious about all the fuel jugs you have on board. I see your running a new boat now but looks like in this vid you are in a Alexis Pro or Chinook pro, did you need the extra fuel or just for multi-day deals? Did that boat have 80 gal fuel capacity? Thx for any input, first time with a boat capable of making the run and trying to gain knowledge

Hey, congrats on the new boat. Yes, my old boat was a alexis pro 22. Tank was 103gal. We fished offshore 65-70 miles out, and frequently stayed out 18+ hours... i ended up carrying 20gal extra for safety margin. Rule of 1/3's...
