That’s the songs my kids used as phone notification on their phone for me mom. Then later was unhealthy. Told them I’ll accept the first but no way the second. Even though I like it too.

Song writers never get their due credit for the beautiful songs/lyrics they put into the mouths of the stars that bring the music to OUR ears ... This song helped me through the absolute most difficult times of my life (late 90’s to about 2005). I never struggled with depression until then and I’m still trying to keep at least one nostril above water to this day. Not sure how much further I want to go. A lot of it was self inflicted and a lot of it wasn’t. I’m just tired.

I'm glad he got his song recorded, but the Emerson Drive version is a perfect example how Nashville producers steal the soul of the lyrics and compress it into a shiny ball of crap , just killing the very heart of the powerful lyrics , this version has much more depth !!!

I find myself coming back to this song often. I love Rascall Flatt's version, but the writer adds a certain something that's not in the other version. I wish this was out as a single that could be downloaded. I would definitely buy it.
