This song helped me through the absolute most difficult times of my life (late 90’s to about 2005). I never struggled with depression until then and I’m still trying to keep at least one nostril above water to this day. Not sure how much further I want to go. A lot of it was self inflicted and a lot of it wasn’t. I’m just tired.

As much as I love this song, the writer's lying about the song helping them sell. Their first album was already GOLD long before this song came out, and this song didn't even go to number 1, it went to number 4. It sound like it's the other way around, that Rascal Flatts made HIS career, he's only had THREE legit hits (number 1s) in TWENTY YEARS. "Pride comes before a fall."
