Story time.. I am big music fan,all kinds,I raised my kids the same way,extreme metal,jazz,classical,everything really. One of our favorite family activities as a family was to go to death metal shows.. Me and the wife and 2 of our kids.. Around the early 2000's we went to see napalm.. We are a very normal loving family who just likes to take our kids to shows.. I am a heavily tattooed big guy,about 6 foot 3 and 300 pounds,short hair but not shaved,just short. (this will become relevant). Napalm comes on,one of my favorite bands,I spent the drive up telling my kids about them.. I make my way to the front. I am alternating between pitting and standing by the stage jamming.. About the 4th song in Barney flips me off,I wasn't sure at first so I went to the other side of the stage and he did it again on the other side.. The 3rd time he did it,he flipped me off and then pointed at his shirt.. It took me a while with the lighting being low but finally I was able to see the shirt and it had some kind of anti racist message.. It hit me like a 1000 pound brick.. This guy thinks I am a racist skinhead for some reason! My daughter,who was 12 at the time of the show asked me "Dad,why did he do that"? I did not have an answer.. The interesting thing is that my daughter is half mexican,lol.. I was very very... very Disappointed.. I agree with Barney on all that shit and raised my kids the same way.. Guys,all of us,we should take a moment to analyze before we act.. It really sucks because after that day the band occupied my mind in a different way.. My Fandom was stolen from me..
