Thanks!!!! I bought one last year and the dude I bought it off taught me how to do that. Well I just mowed for the first time this season and I couldn’t for the life of me get it figured out. I knew I had to push that button but the light wouldn’t stay on. It was the turning the key back to the middle AFTER starting it I was missing. 😊

I have the diode dynamic mount (which I think you’re referring to). To be honest, the brackets that you have you look pretty nice and look like a simple install. However, Diode Dynamics install was minimal. Drilling alone makes somebody a little hesitant to buy the product, but the amount needed to fit the rivnut into the hole was so small that the drilling I did isn’t noticeable. Bottom line, if I were to take mine off and reinsert the plastic trim piece, I could still do that, and nobody would know. I suppose I just like the lights a little higher than this mount. Once the nut is inserted, you only have to unscrew one bolt and then attach the mount. It’s only held in by two screws and that mount isn’t going anywhere. The brackets are the same price as these. Go figure. Right now I am running SS5’s. But I would definitely like to give these brackets a try one day. There’s one thing about Diode Dynamics that beats the competition, and that’s their customer service. They are unbelievable when it comes to customer service. If I have any issues at all, they send me a new part and I have it within two days. Then there’s companies like Oracle who give me the runaround and make me wait a month. Long story short, I wish I knew these brackets existed. They look like a great and easy install. I didn’t know there was another option. With that side, I would be happy with either one

Is there a way to bypass this switch? My mower won’t start because something is wrong within this switch and I can’t get anyone to work on it

You can bypass the switch. But there is probably something wrong with one of your safety interlocks. It's usually the one that's activated by the deck hole cover on mine.
