0:23 No Dept. regulation gloves on his hands? Why was his helmet off, like right next to the scene? Does he have a death wish or looking to retire early?

The blasts of the air horns are never good. That means everyone out of the building & go to exterior operations only.

Great footage. This is a major loss to all who utilized the emissions testing at that garage prior to going to the dmv down the road. That garage saved me a few times back in the day when we could just walk into the dmv to register a vehicle. I’d need emissions testing done and driving down the road to that garage was a lifesaver. Prayers to all involved.

Try Broadbridge Automotive in Stratford. What I don’t understand is that the federal government has emissions standards for car manufacturers yet we still must pay to get our cars tested. 🤔

Fire fighting,, preferably in the volunteer world has really gone to the wayside for a couple of reasons. First we have turned into a working culture,,,work first a pleasure 2nd. Because of that, fireman are not getting training like they used. Companies nowadays wont even allow you to join. They dont want you at a fire when your supposed to be at work. And then the firefighting tactics changed with political correctness. When I was on a fire company in the 70,s there was no ABCD side. You arrived and chief told you what size hose to pull and make a inside attack fast. Fire training better improve.

In France, we are always amazed to see the organization of firefighting in the US; you have incredibly powerful and superb vehicles, but the attacks of your firefighters are curious. The guys arrive in front of the fire and equip themselves. An unthinkable situation for us, we equip ourselves and mutually check the proper functioning of the masks and protections on board the vehicles during the course. During this time, the commanding officer of the detachment receives by radio the evolution of the situation transmitted by the witnesses on site. Then, on the fire, everyone knows exactly what they have to do, the instructions being ordered by the detachment officer. Each firefighter has a specific function and the attacker with the hose is never alone, he has an equally qualified partner who supports him to advance on the fire. The partner can also rescue him and evacuate his partner in the event of a problem or if the latter is injured. The man who climbs on the mechanical rotating ladder is specialized in safe evacuating victims through windows because this cannot be improvised. In addition, on the construction site and nobody goes right or left unnecessarily. The French firefighters in Paris and Marseille are soldiers and come from the military engineering regiments. For the other cities, they are paramilitary professionals who have almost the same training and the same mandatory daily physical training. The US firefighters are deserving and courageous but there is a certain hesitation in the general organization of the fires attacks.

Don't judge all American firefighters by what you see here. They are probably volunteers and may not have very many firefighters there yet. In America about 80% of firefighters are volunteers.

Another car fire that could have been prevented if the driver had a fire extinguisher in the car. Instead of one or two burned components they decided to let the whole car burn? No wonder our insurance premiums keep going up?

the five players man upon a 21/2 straight tip and wash the garage into the next town. Again don't bypass a hydrant so you can drag the line uphill to get the wawa.

At 4:45 You have the chief put on his mask with no hood . Then you have a FF put his mask over his hood ? Hmm 🤔
@556AndyFF4 ай бұрын
At 2:31 I was thinking the exact same thing. No hood and besides that, why is the chief even taking the nozzle from his guys? I get it if there wasn't manpower there, but there was already two people on the line and two more outside masking up behind them. Also the back up fire fighter on the nozzle loses his helmet at 2:37, and his mask is over his hood. Crazy what happens when shit hits the fan and your crew is not trained to standard.
@chosenone10043 ай бұрын
@@556AndyFF I agree , this shows lack of training all over the place. Even though some of this is just basic common sense you would think
