I really enjoy your videos!! It helps me to make my model railroad more realistic to our area! I'm in grants pass and would like to to some watching of my own, is there a way to know which times they go through besides the midnight train I can here that one from home but seem to miss the rest 😂

Something i love about these old cab ride videos is that it takes you back in time and makes it seem like just some other day in the 90s. Truly amazing

The first, fifth, and sixth units are no longer in the PNWR roster. 1. PNWR 3006 was sold to Utah Railway 2. PNWR 3001 and 101 were scrapped in 2023

Wow, you don't see too many road crossings without signals anymore, especially if a school bus uses the crossing. Kinda cool actually!!!! Thanks for showing us this!!!!

Every time I watch a new video of Train Mountain, you've done something new! Added new track. Double tracked a line. Added a passing siding. Expanded a yard. It's always something. That's why viewing these video's is so much fun. Thanks for sharing these with us.

There was a slow order for a month or so at that crossing. It was a pain in the butt because you'd just get up to speed out of the Grants Pass slow order then immediately have to slow back down.

Thank you so much for uploading this Steve! I'm continually amazed by all the old railroad footage on youtube. But this is probably my favorite cab ride video because the ambience of the area, the pace, and the length of the video. So what made you go to work for Santa Fe over SP or other lines? On another note, there is a train simulator called Run8 that has been around for a while. It has the famous routes like Cajon Pass and Tehachapi on it. However, it would be EPIC if they added Stockton sub.
@stevearnold23048 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. I love to see the Stockton Sub on a simulator. I’d be all in on that. I always wanted to be an engineer and I never cared which one. I grew up in Livermore and I grew up with the SP and WP local. I actually never saw anything Santa Fe growing up. My favorite was always the WP and I sent out dozens of letters to railroads all over the country in 1976 and only got three that were taken applications. The Southern in I believe Louisiana, the BN in Montana and the Santa Fe in Richmond. That was a no brainer. I was an instructor engineer at the time I shot this in hopes of making copies of the whole division and give them to my students. This was taken April 1st 1992. Unfortunately I had a carrier ending on the job injury in 93 and was never able to complete that task. I very much appreciate your comment and very happy you enjoyed the video. Steve
