Looking great I’m glad you were able to get it running for the first time I look forward to seeing the tender completely painted and the cab put back on

The weight transfer device at the drawbar is clever. Just add weight over the pilot truck to prevent those derailments. What a beautiful engine!

Thank you very much. I do have a bit of room that I can add weight over the pilot truck but there just isn’t any way to add weight anywhere else. I have a friend who has an American and he did this modification and it works well once it’s dialed in right. Thanks for watching.

Awesome update Steve, the bolt on the connection to the loco seems like a great idea. Hope that cures your traction issue.

Looks like lit'le John's getting the bugs out Steve that's to be expected, You think you have the "Gripstion " issue resolved I was thinking about Possibly some Heavy Iron like t-bar or wear lingerie steel I've got some 2x2x6' its, Approx 60# per fit's, After you polish that Tender maybe you should ClearKote it. I'm sure you've already got an"Idea" Damn it sure looks Good buddy 👍

Thanks Bernard. I have almost a qt of the same paint, primer and clear coat that John used. Just enough to shoot the tender. I appreciate all your support and comments. Steve
