Appreciate your advice on which model to go with. Think I'll look for a XP 1000. Don't need a turbo that's wide-open riding.

I love my S model and how it is on trails, logging roads but in the end, in my opinion I like the XP a tad better. Only for the suspension. Xp suspension is superior and soaks up everything you come across. These S models are limited.

How tall are you? I’m looking to buy this kit, I am 6’ 1” and not sure if I should go with the 4” or 5” drop.

You would get a lot more flex in the front with a good set of dual rate springs. I have an XP Turbo which basically has the same suspension as you and after getting Shock Therapy springs, I noticed a huge difference in flex. I have 32's and it will stuff the tire to where it almost rubs the fender. The rear helped also but not as much as the front

Just removed the front sway bar on ours and created my own quick disconnect system for the rear. Thanks for sharing!

I live up in Bremen about 10 mins from Stoney. I just bought my son a RZR 170 and I’m getting me a RZR soon so I can ride with him. Does Stoney have some smooth trails that he could ride in the 170? It’s very low to the ground so he basically needs dirt roads. He is dying to go there but I wasn’t sure if there were trails he could ride.

I am trying to decide between these two machines right now. Its an extra $1000 for the XP and I think I am going to go that way. Seems like much more machine for the small upgrade cost. Thanks for the review.

I just smashed the bearing race with a hammer, its hardened so it will break in pieces... work around and pop out all the balls then it will come right out....don't even have to remove tire!!!!

I'm looking to do the exact same wheel setup that you have on your XP.. keeping the stock rims and just upgrading to the Carnivores. I see that they are 32x10-14" - can I run this size all the way around the machine or do I need a different size for the front rim? Thanks!

Hey Central Bama offroad! I've been looking into getting an off-road vehicle. I'm currently looking into getting more pay and with that I'm thinking about getting an off-road vehicle. I have a Jeep but it's not meant for the type of operating that I want to do, where a RZR is more of the range I want to go for. I've been looking at the RZR 1000 XP because it's exactly what I would be interested in getting into. I'm more or less still kind of new to off-roading when it comes to trails and stuff, but not so new that I wouldn't be interested in doing some pretty extravagant stuff. Honestly the first couple things I think I'm going to do when I get an RZR is likely go off roading locally, get a couple accessories that way if I get lost I can call for help. but mainly, it's just going to be going on Trails off-roading on trails I'm going fast going sightseeing. then I guess once I get a little bit more experience under my belt, I'll go do mud running and you know dune racing and group off-roading. Along with some other stuff like maybe rock crawling. But I've been looking around for videos to try and give me some more information on the 1000 XP and honestly I think it's the vehicle that I'm going to get. It's the type of vehicle I think I need but I just wanted to make this comment to see if you would point me in the right direction cuz I still feel kind of lost. Cuz all I want is a RZR that I can do pretty much everything with and not have to do anything extra and one that I can buy some accessories for. I think that the RZR 1000 XP would be a perfect thing for me but I don't know I still got a while before I go and buy it.

Currently have a 900 and thinking about moving up to a 1000. Almost all my riding is woods trails connected by long stretches of fire roads. Currently can cruise comfortably at about 45. Is there a big increase for the 1000? Simply want to get from point A to B faster.

@centralbamaoffroad80334 жыл бұрын
These are not the two you need to race. You need to look at a turbo unit. You will have to ask a racer, that’s not my thing, sorry. Good luck I hope you do well.

Awesome video! With both sway bars remived, how fast can one go without any issues? I just do want to be left way behind by the pack lol
@centralbamaoffroad80334 жыл бұрын
You can still go pretty fast. I would be more careful on pavement. If you ride rocks it’s well worth removing them. If you ride fast a lot you may want to leave at least one on. Hope that helps.

Sway bar is more for high speed open desert use . You have to set your machine up for the conditions you are using it in .

I ride colorado mountains and just sold my 50” trail. I was looking at the 1000s but I’m thinking Xp now I think I want that extra suspension travel. That 50” was was to tippy for me almost rolled twice in a year.

@centralbamaoffroad80334 жыл бұрын
Jay Smith both of those in the vid are 2019. I have left mine off since I made that vid with no issues. As long as you don’t ride real fast on pavement. Which I do not. The flex is far better for rock crawling.

Mud ride sucks. I live in Utah the paradise of off road. I saw videos from people from the south mud ? Is so horrible messy hard on the machines. I would never do mud riding getting stuck and cover on mud he’ll not .

I feel as though I would never own an S again. Even on super tight trails. Rear a arm suspension doesn’t even come close to competing with trailing arm suspension.
