Damn, I got a 30% off for Darn Tough socks on CapitalOne and thought I just had to buy them then they'll add my discount later (like my cash back rewards). They did give me a code which I screenshot but it didn't work at the checkout (because it was for the company, not CapitalOne). Didn't know I needed a Chrome extension. Also, this video was way too long and I lost interest when he kept opening emails to talk about past purchases and try to rig the system to give him the same discount (which it didn't seem to do anyway). Be a good idea to make a simple, concise edited version. The only thing I learned from this video is I need a Chrome extension for the discount to apply (and to come back to something you want days later so that you'll get emails about the product with coupons - but thats a bad idea when it's the Holidays and stuff is selling out)

Think its possible to do a can bus injection to have a "hacked" blinker cam for legacy Model s'?
@KmanAuto22 күн бұрын
Are you meaning, the side marker camera from Full Self Drive hardware? First off, a Legacy Model S (Or X) is any S or X that has a vertical screen. This encompasses everything from Pre-Autopilot through Full Self Drive Hardware 3. Non-Autopilot Model S's are called "Classic" Model S. 2014 and newer with Autopilot 1 are just Ap1 or Autopilot 1, and then late 2016 and newer with Full Self Drive capability are Autopilot 2, 2.5 or 3 (Autopilot 3 hardware is now called Full Self Drive 3 or FSD3). Depending on what you mean by "legacy" Model S, if it is a Classic without Autopilot, no, no chance it only has 1 video input that goes from the backup camera to the MCU. If it is a Autopilot 1 car, again, no, no chance. The car only has 2 video inputs, the backup camera, which goes directly to the MCU, and the Autopilot 1 camera, which is Black & White, and very low resolution that goes directly to the AP1 computer (Which camera and AP1 computer are mounted on the windshield together). This hardware is also made by MobileEye, which is also discontinued. If it is AP2, 2.5 or 3, the car will already have side marker cameras, nothing to "hack". The only requirement for the cameras to display on the screen is having MCU2 computer. If your vehicle is equipped with MCU1 computer, you can upgrade at Tesla for around $1500. It is a 100% worthwhile upgrade the makes the car feel brand new all over again. the performance increase is excellent, as well as it unlocks many additional features, streaming options, games, visualizations if you have AP2-3 as well as makes full self drive work if you have that as a paid option. The MCU2 upgrade is equally beneficial for Classic & AP1 cars. It really makes a massive difference on all of them. AP2 - AP3 cars, without the MCU2, cannot display the side marker cameras due to lack of processing power. The MCU1's use an old 3 core Tegra 3 tablet processor that was mostly stopped being used around 2011-2012 by everyone but Tesla. The MCU2 uses a multi-core Intel Atom processor with many times the processing power of the Tegra 3.

@@KmanAuto No worries. Im referring to the lack of a blinker camera option as seen on the 2021+ refresh Model s' and the model 3 and Y. I have a 2020 Raven model S that has cameras but they don't activate in the same manner as on my 3 when the blinker is engaged. If someone could run the esp32 can bus module that listened for the blinker command and injected a command to show the respective camera, that would be a work around rather than waiting for tesla to push the update. Cheers

My Zero water filter is at .6 in about 3 weeks of use, I just changed mine, it's about 2 months old and reading 195. Don't know how you get 6 months out of yours, unless your water is very clean to begin with
@KmanAuto28 күн бұрын
@@Bob-yv6jp our water isn't the cleanest, I've taken some steps to prolong zero filter life. since zero absorbs just about everything, using a cheaper crappy filter to pre-filter everything makes a huge difference. Specifically with chemicals. i've modified my set ups lately over the years since making this video and so far my ideal set up is as follows. Number one, under sink filter on the cold water line. This was $30 at the hardware store, good for about 20,000 gallons. This removes sediment and has activated charcoal for chemical removal. that filter is cheap, and has an extremely long life. In fact you can run it much longer than the 20,000 gallons, not as effective but everything paired together it will be just fine. Second, I had an old Pur faucet mount filter. I went back to using that as a second stage filter, it also has activated charcoal and claims to be a five stage filter. It actually adds a little bit of mineral back into the water for taste. Third is the Zero Filter, brings thet TDS down to, well zero. The zero filter does not do very well with chemicals, but does great with dissolved solids. Fourth, when not using the zero, it goes in the fridge to help prevent bacteria growth. Fifth, for coffee and hot water use (our keurig is a considered a multi tool in our household and covers hot water for coffee tea, ramen, jello and on and on...), the keurig has an in-tank charcoal filter. Coffee & tea taste amazing! Due to the multi-rage of filtering, the cheapest filter takes the biggest dirty water hit. That $30'under sink filter. that alone makes such a huge taste difference. Further that filter allows the other filters to have a longer life. The pur filter for example, rated to 75-100 gallons. only after 8 or 9 resets of the gallon counter does it start to have any noticeable difference in taste, smell or test. without the under sink filter the pur is done after 1 reset. It sounds complicated but it is not at all. once the under sink is installed (took 5 minutes for mine), only real difference is using the pur to fill the zero.
@KmanAuto28 күн бұрын
@@Bob-yv6jp Oh, and currently our TDS from the tap without any filters is ~190. about 180 after the under sink filter, which mostly is for chemical removal (chlorine, lead etc...), about 150 after the pur filter, which again is mostly a chemical removal filter, then 0 after the zero.

After it cooled down, it felt really crunchy as I turned it by hand. I opened it up to find almost no grease whatsoever. I added some grease to the gears and it feels a little better, but the bearing surrounding the bit holder is shot. Still gonna use it until it gives out. I also added a tiny amount of grease to the bearing, but that turned out to be a mistake (there was way to much resistance to turning). After cleaning it out, a drop of 3 in 1 oil did the trick👍

Best way to get rich at a casino is roulette..if you bet just a aingle number by its self trying for the maximum win,with the least loss the odds are against you....if you just bet black or red,or odd or even..unless your extremely lucky and win like four times in a row...eventually youll lose it all ..if you keep playing that is..but best bang for the buck is to bet black...then two of the three ,thirds boxes...and a chip on every number except the black ones in the third block..because theres only two black numbers in the third block...and more cahnces of it being one of those numbers if it comes up red,and ypur betting black...use only $100 chips...they will let you play this way a few spins...because the house is hoping for zeros,and the very small chance something hits besides your numbers...but if you go more than a few spins winning on inside before green or a loser shows up..they will tell you to leave,or when the house does win you double up your bet...they will kick you out...because like i said before the house advantage is very small when playing this way..and if you double up when they win....your cancelling the houses win..and overall percentages only works in the houses favor...thats how casinos win,over time they know you going to lose,and when you double up they know the over all percentages of green hitting twice in a row is low....although inside the game its equally lilely....thats a dishonest casino as most of them are...if you use that stratagy everytime you lose its neutral to you..you dont make any money ,but you dont lose any ..money..and all you have to do is hope it aint green ,and hope its one of those red numbers in block 3 that hits...because your getting 39times your bet when it does...and you can usually slip this by the house a few times withiut them realizing your staying neutral on loses,because theu take chips off the table every spin...and you have about an 34% chance of winning on the number every spin...but youll definitly win three times your bet on the outside...and double if black ...unless its green...but anytime its a red number in the 3rd box you rake in the bucks because you got the right number,and the third box..39 times your bet
@SissyJacksАй бұрын
Best roulette stratagy wins big!!!. But you lose big too..but to increase your odds of a successful day is to minimize the times ypu gamble...put $100 chips on 20 of the numbers,and $100 chips on 2 of the thirds block on the outside..thats alot of money yes..but unless it hits green or only 6 numbers you win huge!!!..because any number pays3500...and ypull win on the outside three times your bet...and youll double up on color ...you can possibly only win once...or ypu could win three ways at 39 times so off of $2900..you just won a thiusand dollars one spin!!!!... make your bet matter when playing ypull never get anywhere $25 at a time...only use $100 chips...you figure in a casino with about 5 people playing,theres one spin every 2 minutes..so 30 times an hour....you just won $30,000 in an hour...thats how i do as a professsional...and you have an 97% of winning everytime you spin!!..then if you take that strategy...then use the martingale stratagy when you lose and double up the bet only when you lose...youll be told you cant gamble anymore..been thrown out of 2 casinos in 6 months doing this..youll break the bank!!...or just bet 34 chips one chip one everything but one number....then zeros and one single numbef is the only losers..that gives ypu over a 99% chance of winning...that wqy if you got lets say $8k to gamble with you could lose twice and still win it all back playing this way..and with atleast $1000 everyspin that isnt zeros or a single number....in a nights time hundreds of thousands of dollars..but could really hurt if the almost impossible happened and wiped you out but almost zero chance of that..whats funny about roulette is a person watching can make outside odds bets over the table percentage and win big...meaning your not in the game but lets say you and a buddy are watching the monitors,and you see that red has hit 3 times in a row...the odds of it being red again is very slim..so you could bet your buddy knowing those odds and bet him ...neither of you have money on the table..your just betting the odds of it being red 4 times in a row...youll win big using that strategy with over all percentages...but when your playing the game...youll lose using that strategy of over all percentages ..because inside the game its totally random every spin..its dangerous to your game to tjhink those odds when inside the game...over all odds dont matter...it could be red or black equally every spin...even if you and your friend are betting on chances of it being red again...not many gamblers realize this,and understand this also....you have a 2% in 36 spins chances of it being green and you lose it all...but usually by tye time it hits green youve usually won several times..but ive had it come up green in the first spin betting big money before too...its rare but does happen that why you always take three times.what u bet each spin..ive never seen zeros hit 3 times in a row...its possible but not very likely...thats why casinos will throw you out when pkaying this stratagy more than a few times ,anotger good one is put a $100 chip inevery box except 3 numbers...but only one number per box on outsode thirds...thats a huge win youll get $1800 a spin everytime..withonly zero and or one sigle number out of each third meanin 1-12 13-22 23-36...but regaurless of what hits eacept zero youll win something back maybe not all but about $1000 of your bet....if it does come up one of three numbers you still win just not if you hit the correct number..that is where the majority of the win comes from 35 times your bet..ive seen the same number come up twice in a row as well..if playing over all percentages you would never bet it would hit twice in a row....but inside the game and its equally likely to be any number every spin..and thats why you cannot think over all percentages..anytime a randomness fluke happens the house wins,when you try to apply percentages inside the game

Always good to view your DIY videos. Your tips are good practices even for other brands. I came by today to see if you have done reviews on fixing active spoiler on model x's. My near 9 year old X is just now starting to stick during it's operation and looks like it needs cleaning maintenance. Do you even have the active spoiler on your X? I'm sure i could spray a cleaner down the side supports but seems things could get a bit messy. Not much info on YT to remove or clean this area. Any ideas?
@KmanAuto2 ай бұрын
No active spoiler here. VIN is ~24,000ish, November 2016 build. Don't remember when they discontinued the active spoiler. A silicon lubricant spray may be of use temporarily. Otherwise, disassembly and water-resistant grease on the gears/mechanism would be in order. Since i've never had hands on time or an up close look, can't be of more help. My email is in the video description. Feel free to email me as many photos as you'd like of the mechanism/active spoiler and I'll do my best to help. Send me VIN too, I can check the Tesla parts catalog. I appreciate you as always!

@KmanAuto , i understand. Vin is low, ends in 677 out of Fremont. 3/14/16 5YJXCBE41GF000 It's be 100% bulletproof till just starting to actually. Opening back hatch I can see taking off inside door panel and maybe seeing some of the guts if it has access holes in hatch. Stuffing absorbant cloths and spraying cleaner on gears if there are any. Yes a nice lubrication in small amount would be wise. I have searched YT to see if I could find guts of mechanism to have an idea what's going to be there. But no luck so I'll have to just put on my big boy pants and go explore. It might take a few weeks before I get started. In the Kman spirit I should at least video my exsperiance and share it to at least give others an idea what's there. It all happened after a software update and it could just be car not digesting that update and could go away after next update. I think I kind of remember they were putting that spoiler in all the cars at that time and not just the performance models as intended for 3 or 4 months then just switching over all to the fixed wing. It's been a bit to long ago for those details. I'll stop by here again if I get going on this. Happy Holidays to you and family.
