You are completely valid here; having my own kids when I get that special moment to get away from them and do even mundane things let alone a special event if I had to tolerate someone elses my brain would explode because I would feel like I didn’t truly get away and have that quiet space to recuperate and have normal adult time with just other adults. I fully respect that people who don’t have kids don’t have them for a reason and that is really not that difficult to understand. Also the people in the group who wanted to bring kids could have a play date outside the group before or after meetup so it just didn’t interfere with the regulars? Seems like an easy solution??

@@bmonoire5231 Yeah I figured even parents want some off-time. I have pets and I also want to have days where my roomie takes care of them. I think 'adult time' perfectly describes it! The playdate idea sounds cool (another person here told me her comm does four kinds of meetups with different kinds of attendees and it's being respected) but I don't know if I'm in the position to suggest that. I messaged the mod once wondering why no meetup was specifically childfree since the last ones were specifically with kids and I'm not the only one wanting adult time. She answered all meetups are open to all. So I guess I'll stick to my comm and wearing Lolita by myself. ¯\_(⊙_ʖ⊙)_/¯

@@EnyoBowBtch I feel like you are absolutely in a position to to suggest that! Being in a group means people and interaction and a lot of compromising which means offering solutions if you think something is problematic. Maybe type it up and run it by someone before posting to groups though😂 me and another friend do this because we can come off as too brusque when we are just trying to be straightforward so now we check with each other so we don’t come off so harsh.

I love children, but I can absolutely relate! I’m an educator and the older I get the more I don’t want to be around children in my free time. I’m around kids all day long and I love them, but they are so much work and I ALWAYS feel responsible for them. I can’t just not mind them when they are present. For my own sanity I have to have non child times or I will not be able to continue teaching. You are so loving actually, usually when ppl say they hate children they actually do hate them and it’s horrible. You just don’t like socializing with them. But you have a respect for their needs and their right to exist…you just wish to exist disengaged from them and I think I that’s perfectly fine.

I love that you can handle kids and handle them well, I think it is essential if you work with kids you see them as you know, people you need to respect and not some extensions of their parents or a trophy or any other way adults like kids to be. Oh you put it in very nice words haha, maybe it really is the actual interaction with them? I mean I don't want to deal with loud and annoying adults either but I can tell these to leave me alone, but kids needs to be loud and annoying just not around me. :D

I've never experienced someone bringing a kid with my comm, but there have been instances during public meetups where a parent will approach with a kid and we'd be expected to act like party princesses. I can imagine that having a kid within the group would make it seem like that's ok to onlookers.

This is one thing I really like about my local comm, the vetting process to join is fairly involved so theres an understanding that not just anyone can come to any comm meet. Bc we have a diverse community with different age ranges and interests, every single meet is specified if its 21+, comm only, comm + partners, or open for anyone. We really mix up the meets so that everyone has a chance to come and do the things they like. For example we have an annual picnic where everyone and their families and friends are welcome. That way every person can decide for themselves what they want to do.

Which I get, some people like, but I eould like to know prior to coming. I think it's just a communication thing and I'll definitely pitch in your comm's way to make meetups. This way people should be satisfied- I've had meetups that were supposedly childfree, spousefree, menfree etc. but it NEVER happened unless it was my BowBitch comm. :D

Yes, I am also from a society and upbringing that guides me to automatically pay attention and care for children in my vicinity. It is also common courtesy to ask if you can bring someone with you who was not invited or part of the club. I struggle with being able to make (safe) comparison between kids being brought to gatherings and other un-tasteful things surprised upon me. Like, I don't wand a dog to jump on my in my brand why would I want your child to. And I'm allergic to milk so I can't come to a fondue meeting. 😂

Like I don't think it's much so ask for *consent* and I doubt parents want to be hated for their actions. All of us need to communicate open and not expect that their offspring -or my pets- are welcome anywhere with everyone. Also lactose intolerance squad!! 💞

Oh yeah you brought up a good point… it’s hard to “disconnect” if someone else brings their kids along… I still can’t fight the reflex to “watch” them even if it’s not my child and not my responsibility and it is really hard to relax.

I get it!! I am sorry I am guilty… I brought my child to my most recent meetup… he BEGGED me to go. He’s 5. But I completely understand why you don’t want our kids around and it’s completely valid, and I asked the meetup host but not the attendees. I should have cleared it with the other members. 💔

@@brittany16950 I totally agree eith regina in the comment below- your host or hostess could have just asked. :D Because honestly if your comm is over X amount of people and you ask the group chat "Do you mind?" then I doubt someone's going to speak up because no one wants to be THE person to say "I mind". As a former mod I would ask people to dm me privately if they mind or vote anonymously. Please update me on the next meetup where you/a host asks all members. Maybe this works and no one feels bad?? That would be wonderful.

A long time ago, when i wore my first coordinate, i asked my partner if they thought my outfit was pretty and by extensions me. They that both myself and my outfit were pretty but they didn't find the outfit attractive or sexy. I responded that that is the whole point and that i successfully was wearing lolita fashion 😂❤.

We do pay for boxes in the US. I will be honest though I want to sell things, but it seems so overwhelming so I definitely intended on putting US only. lol I just feel like it’s going to be more complicated. But, this is just based on the fact that we are all overworked in this 3rd world country and barely have energy to sell it in the first place.😬 And honestly you are spot on with that. Wow it seems turning goth pieces into sweet coords is suprisingly fun! I think I would wear the first one minus the chain and maybe changing the cat headpiece for a pink and white headdress with black hair. Maybe with some goth charms. For the last coord I'd swap the tights for redxwhite striped socks and the jabot (neckpiece) for a large white peterpan collar with gothic lace! I was really suprised how nice the heart cardigan looks with iron gate hahahaha.

My copper IUD Is great!! I have had 2, they have a 5 year lifespan, and I still get my cycle bc it does not block hormones, and the way it works is that copper is toxic to sperm - They don't die, but they become "demotivated" by whatever the copper does, and they just chill there till they naturally die a week or so later and get processed as any other extra sperm. They are a hair less effective (Unfortunately I have in fact been in that .01 percent, but that was before all the bans came thru) I also recommend to anyone reading this to use it in conjunction with a spermicidal sponge. I LOVE that they gave it to you, (your ectomy) IDK your age (no need to say if u don't wanna) but in the US if you haven't had at least one kid, you are healthy, and are under 40 its like an Instant no. You literally have to go to Baja, or one of the medical tourism towns, and even then due to that culture's feelings about females as well its still hard.

also, spermicide is only unsafe with prolonged expose! The tests they do are not reflective of use! I don't think anyone is out here slathing it on morning noon and night, but the tests tested like they were! (Unless they are, ultra nymphos trying?? to be? safe??) But Never heard of such a thing If you one use it when needed, and cleaning up excess, its a pretty okay product. I think it is too expensive tho

@@VVilde36 Bless your IUD! Yes using it with spermicide is even safer, maybe I was unclear: I meant for me it was not safe enough. Besides always remembering the pill made me pressured to do so. An IUD can be a great alternative to a sterilization and it lasts for years. Whoever reads this, make sure to ask for painkillers or a sedation, I at least couldn't t tough it out. :D I'm 28 and have been trying to get sterilized for ten years. It took me TEN YEARS to find a MAN (I only visit female doctors but I was desperate) who just asked: Waddaya need? me: a bisalp. him: okay this is how we do it! I had ZERO bingos unlike with anyone else. Reddit has a doctor's list on r/childfree and I highly recommend that. In Germany technically you can get sterilized at 18, but most doctors think women can only sanely consent to kids and not to no kids. Ten years, for fuck's sake. (┛◉Д◉)┛彡┻━┻

I just remind you he suggested using desinfectant as vaccines during the Cov-19 pandemic. He is a moron. On birth control: Trump backs in and out of being for or against birth control. He is claiming whatever benefits him the most. Project 2025 on the other hand is by HIS party, backed by HIS people. Page 483: "Restore Trump religious and moral exemptions to the contraceptive mandate (also a CMS rule)." Page 485: "Eliminate the week-after-pill from the contraceptive mandate as a potential abortifacient." (the morning-after-pill (what I assume they mean) is NOT an abortifacient, it just suppresses ovulation) Page 485: "Now that the Supreme Court has acknowledged that the Constitution contains no right to an abortion, the FDA is ethically and legally obliged to revisit and withdraw its initial approval, which was premised on pregnancy being an 'illness' and abortion being 'therapeutically' effective at treating this 'illness.' My state just banned plan-b, made it to where teens need parental consent (There are tons of reasons that is problematic in the south where at home sex abuse is very normalized) And they are trying to make it to where employers do not have to cover birth control, which means that conservative employer like hobby lobby who are known to lord birth control withholding over their female employees to promote their probirth stance. This is a disproportional affect females bc they are the ones who have to deal with all ramifications of onprotected sex, therefore by moving the goalpost to get protection you make it clear that you are in control of their sex lives. As a female I can tell you it is not propoganda, its happening to us. They want to make employees at some types of companyees give bio data, and if they are female and detected possible pregnancy signs then you naturally miscarry they want to be able to jail you, as has already happened in texas 2 months ago.
