For real. I thought about this outside of Lolita too and I noticed I kept expecting the worst to not be disappointed. But that is shit too, since you walk around thinking everything is going to fall apart and only if you're lucky it's going to work out. Granted it might have been my depression at that time making me think this way, and today it feels almost okay to be disappointed. :D I find it childish of me to have struggled with this so much but hey, we're vibin' now.

Yes please don't do that, it's not worth it. Here's the obligatory reminder I paid 280€ for Dreamy Dollhouse which I LOVE but had I waited for half a year I could have gotten it for half the price. :')

God what a sad story. The lolita community will forever be haunted by shitty stock photos... My second lolita dress was a babydoll cut from BTSSB, the second i wore it i realized i don't like the cut on me. Lesson learned i guess. XD

Aww I would say this was also sorta the reason I didn't actually get my first dress to enter the hobby.. for the longest time I was looking for a perfect dress that's perfectly my taste.. sadly I didn't find it. What I did find was printed fabric that was almost there and I got that to make my own dress... it's still not in colours I would have preferred.. but because I made it myself, I love it more 😅 just lying to myself that the teal is green and not blue 🤣🤣🤣🤣 omg I just realise we have very similar problems hahaha I wish Lolita embrace warmer colours more :p

Oh once I found PERFECT fabric, ist is lavendar with yellow ducklings and lemon slices. Got it and made some masks out of it since I only wear black. I can feel your pain a lot, *perfection* is almost nowhere to be found. This green is SOO blue like??

If it makes you feel better the christians stole the eggs and bunny from the pagan holiday Ostara or Spring Equinox. Which symbolizes fertility and has nothing to do with zombie Jesus. lol Anyways no real dream dresses for me because I'm too picky. When I first started IW Pompadour jsk in green was a favorite of mine but I just made a dress in a simular style that fit. I will say I have quite a few I bought that I liked more than I thought I would though. And I also hate mint!😆
