I've been listening to more videos like this again of late. It takes me back to the days when I played daf and riqq for a bellydance troupe. I'd have the daf rested on my lap, doing the bass tones, then I'd switch to the riq to do the lighter parts.Boy do I miss it. I hope that one of the troupes that are still around finally take me on. They've been talking on and off about that. It's such beatufuil msuic, and I feel like I was born to it. When I first got a riq in my hand, I thougth "this is my instrument!" Egyptian and middle eastern percussion in general is something I just adore :)

There are many different lvls like, begginer simple rhythms, advanced, complex, very sofistikated, then there is high lvl accuracy, few more whatever and then there is THIS, like WTF 🤦🏻‍♂️ your bpm is not beats per minute but beats per miliseconds, this is far beyond just rhythms, this is fraktal comunication through hearing 🫡 ….. you have some lessons on youtube, from one I succesfully learned some stuff, do you still teach through video chats?
