We were there in July (before the Biscuit Basin explosion) and it was nowhere near as crowded. It was tougher getting parking by Grand Prismatic than it was by Old Faithful. We stayed in the park at Fishing Bridge campground and it saved a lot of travel time.

That's a great idea using the bright broken projected light to camoflage imperfections. Combined with your low F stop manual setting the result looks amazing. The video I mean.

LOL... It went from 70's to the 60's.... I would have my shirt off at those temps. We hike all fall in Wyoming and if it gets over 60 degrees we feel like its summer.

First let me say, I really like you guys and think you are really nice people but I really wish you "could be" more honest with these Grand Design owners and especially now that NHTSA is formally investigating Grand Design with all the "frame failure" issues, which my FB site has uncovered from actual owners. Remember, who helped you build your channel and that would be many of these Grand Design and other brand owners. These are the reasons many GD owners no longer trust brand ambassadors, coroporate KZbinrs, or other GD affiliated influencers. They are still to this day, lying to new owners and existing owners as I find out when they join my page (almost 6k members since 3/21/24). I realized at the eclipse rally that you were not going to even mention anything about frame failure when I tried talking to you about it, like Nat (Less Junk, More Journey). I guess everybody (except me) has a price to sell their soul to companies like Grand Design. This was very disappointing but given your affiliation with GD, I shouldn't have thought you would talk about it. In ending, it is my hope you guys will realize that what Grand Design is doing to their customers is wrong and you will do the right thing, I hope. -Pete

Super helpful to actually see the turn radius. That's been one of my biggest concerns on getting an 8 foot bed as I like going up forest service roads that often have tight switchbacks. Seeing the actual turn from above helps me visualize capabilities.

Im looking at buying 2024 f450 and 2025 jayco 38fbrk. can you tell me if a 5th wheel pin weight of 3800lbs is ok for this truck plus swivel wheel golf cart carrier and a golf cart. thanks
@1StrangeAdventure
@1StrangeAdventure 8 күн бұрын
Our payload is 4900. The 450 is actually a little less than a 350 because it's a heavier truck. The pin weight would work depending on how much other stuff you load in there and # of people with you. The swivel wheel is just going to add weight to the overall towing amount since it's behind the axles. Our truck is rated for 40,000 lbs of towing capacity. Just have to watch the payload.

The F450 beats you up....clearly never driven a KDub before......😅 That being said, faarking cool looking rig. I'm from NZ, and I drive a T610 fuel tanker. X15 610/650 hp. The 610 is Australian made and resembles your North American T680.

Well, I pull and I think you need to really investigate in Florida. U should get a CDL You might get away with it but if that tractor weights 18,000 and trailer weights 24,000 and also length they don't hit u up for it but tractor and trailer Your aprox 42,000 which max not to need CDL is 26,001 so leagally your CCVW is over which requires a CDL. You also need to look into the length if you RV/5th wheel is 40ft you exceed the tow length combined with tractor ! So I would to be safe if they ever stop you and i been pulling for 36 years. Air Brakes is one that also they hit u up on as most don't know how to charge system or to understand the emergency system if its needed. Only reason I know most of this stuff is I was and Engineer Designed Heavy trucks and had to go to classes when updates from Scaramento CA. Dicktate sound levels, stopping distances, roll angles. tilt tables etc and axle to axle weight distributions. You will never probably have issues with the weight and loading for CG. But I would look for some classes and also talk with over the road truckers. Just my opinion ! Awesome rig. really like it.

I have a 2013 F-450 Platinum Kodiak Brown and I absolutely love it. It has the best turning radius of any super duty truck on the road. The only thing I don't like about it is the smaller fuel tank which they fixed in the new trucks. And especially the cheap plastic wheel covers that dry rot in the sun and then pop off going down interstate. I pull a 40' 5th wheel RV that has a gross of about 21K. It pulls it effortlessly whether driving flat our up the hills of Colorado. As for tires, my truck came with the BF Goodrich and they are amazing tires for ride and comfort. However they are also soft and you won't get ore than about 35K miles out of them. As for the increased noice towing up and down hills, that is part of the engines functionality. It is necessary in order to protect the longevity of the engine.

I do love the Limiteds buddy of mine has a lifted 2024 f450 limited and it's sick. 6'10 and he just fits in it perfectly. He drove a 2015 f450 in high school as well too. Them 450s are something else and I myself drove a F150 limited back in high school. Such beautiful trucks man.

Beautiful truck and powerful. Expensive as hell and with all the smog crap will never run as well as it could. Won’t last as long either. I’ll stick with my studded, bypassed, chipped, tuned, bagged, exhaust, AVd out, beutiful leather and pulls better than when it was new. The money I put into rebuilding, painting is still far less than the 125K the new ford KR would set me back.
