Was born in Auckland, New Zealand and have seen most of the country. Left for Australia in 99, and would never return place has gone backwards, it is just a dump now

I came to New Zealand 3 times already. It was 2015 & 2019 and the last year was 2023 in January which my dad and I had a couple of beers at the pub at the airport before I boarded a plane back to Canada to see my mum and my work mates. Now I already miss New Zealand and my family members which I have been back home now for 9 months already and I am planning on going back to New Zealand in 2026 for 2 months.✈

If anyone asked me what it was really like I’d just ask them “ever been to a kiwi camping ground”? It was like that except with constant fear of tear gas and rubber bullets as you went to bed each night.
