I would say most people understand their desire will not be forever satiated by pursuing and acheiving a thing and yet they do enjoy the process and the acheivement. Islamic pursuits may be fulfilling in a way that promises akhira but that doesnt mean it holds a monopoly on bringing about human happiness.

Wow just against other Muslims, but he didn’t say against other religions or nonbelievers. Islam is sick, leave it quickly. The internet is exposing it very quickly.

An excerpt from the website, THE BLACK AMERICAN MUSLIM, "The biologic DNA of Black individuals, including the presence of melanin, is indubitably responsible for passing on the genetic instructions necessary for growth, development, and functioning. Similarly, cultural DNA plays a significant role in transmitting information crucial for the growth, development, and sustainability of our community. Within the Black American community, strong Black American Warrior Women have played an integral role in advancing the progress and dignity of Black Americans. Suggesting that women practicing Islam should be absent from leadership positions within the Black American Muslim community goes against the historical evidence that highlights the indispensable contributions of women to community development. Embracing Black American Muslim Women in leadership positions is vital for the overall growth, development, and sustainability of the Black American Muslim community. It is through the collective efforts of all individuals, regardless of gender or religious practice, that we can work towards a more equitable and sustainable future for our community."

No doubt Moududi e was a very talented person and researcher but he too was on the wrong track. He used non-wahi hadiths to explain wahi-hadiths. You will find many mistakes in his works.

Mishkat al-Masabih 119

Good discussion. But the reason for standing up for the truth is not to make a direct change but to encourage others to also stand up for the truth. A domino effect can cause the direct change that we all wish to happen. Via that logic which you both used, what was the point of the Sahabi who gave half a date as charity for the battle? In reality will it make a direct change? No. But as muslims we are not materialist.

Alhumdulilah, I appreciate Ustadh Ali's series. I would ask that he be cognizant of constant micro-interruptions in his interviews. By saying "ummhmm" and "yeah" constantly, it makes it difficult to clearly hear and understand the people he interviews. Although this is supposed to be a "conversation", in reality he must study how effective online/podcast interviews are conducted in order to increase the quality and effectiveness of this channel. May we all strive constantly to improve and reflect ihsān in all that we attempt. Lastly, to highlight the roles of our mothers, wives, and sisters should be central, not apologized for. If we don't recognize and acknowledge, we are doing a grave, grave disservice. They are the backbone and honor of our homes and our families. Without them we could not do what we are doing

This was great, mashaAllah. The point about some variants of Ashari being closer to some variants of Athari aqeedah. People who think that Ahl us sunnah wal Jamaah are only from Ashari or Maturidi (and only reluctantly include the "righteous Hanabilah") should see this. I hope that more people from the "traditional Islam" perspective would see this and share the love with someone like Sh Yasir Qadhi.
