This looked like a lot of fun! Now we need Brotherwise to make a table top war game. That'd be the best use for the hero character minis in my opinion.
@cosmereinminiature2 күн бұрын
I agree. I’m hoping a wargame is eventually on their roadmap. They’ve mentioned “Epic Stormlight” so we’ll see how close that comes to a Warhammer-like gameplay.

Do you know if the paints in the starter set are the Army Painter Fanatic line that released this year with a much higher pigment density, or their older line of paints?
@cosmereinminiature16 күн бұрын
I’m not sure on the specifics. But my experience with these paints has been a low pigment count. I have to use 1-2 more thin coats than I am used too using Citadel.

Those who know this scene understand that technically the Oot’s Dream didn’t start to sink until after the Seethe began again, but I’m sticking with the artwork by Howard Lyon for this one. It looks cooler :)

these look absolutely fabulous. I aspire to this. The alethi + singer pack is the only stormlight miniatures pack I don't have - i thought it looked boring, but your paint job here makes me realize i was wrong. Subbed btw.

Thank you for the kind words! Pick up the army builder pack and take a stab at one of these color schemes! They were a tone of fun :)

I would have looked for bits from true scale miniatures instead of Warhammer which is hero scale and everything is a bit too oversized for these miniatures. But otherwise cool idea and good job

Thank you! If you want to find out who the Alethi are, I recommend reading/listening to The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. :)

The heraldy turned out fantastic, did you get all these from book description?
@cosmereinminiature3 ай бұрын
Thank you! I got the glyph designs from the Coppermind website under the Alethi Highprince glyph section. I think the glyphs are in the Way of Kings on the picture of the shattered plains w/ the warcamps.

Nice to see the whole process and the result looks great. Looking forward to what comes next. One small thing i imagined a bit differently was that the Glyphs on the shields wouldnt always be white but instead be in the HPs secondary colour(eg. red for Aladar).
@cosmereinminiature3 ай бұрын
I love the idea of the glyphs being the secondary colors! If I had stuck to a solid background color of each shield, I could've tried that...Maybe I'll revisit them next year and make some alterations.
