Do you think the v3rnio throttle tmp is overkill? right now i have a plastic tpm and want the metal v3rnio but can't aget myself to pay $900+ for it.
@n8033fox10 күн бұрын
Check this out! A buddy of mine is currently doing a review of it and claims it works quite well. I believe it is metal construction. www.desktoppilot.com/product/tpm-vernier-throttle-box/

Need to fix the video. Any idea why it is doing that?
@n8033fox2 ай бұрын
Yes, it’s horrible and you’re not the first to point it out. This is a recently new development it would seem and I’m attempting to debug it currently. I think it’s GoPro temperature related as it’s the only video device seeming to do that. I’m doing some testing as I type this…
@n8033fox2 ай бұрын
GoPro recently released a new driver for their webcam software. I just installed it and did a two hour trial on Twitch. I’m happy to say that hopefully it worked as no one reported any flickering. I’ll be posting the results to KZbin in the next day or so…

Why do I keep missing your live stream ? Is it on KZbin or twitch
@n8033fox2 ай бұрын
Hi. I’m sorry you keep missing the live streams. Currently, they all happen on Twitch and then I send them KZbin. I tried a live stream on KZbin recently and it seemed to work okay, so I’ll likely be streaming on both in the near future. Thanks for watching!

I'm only at 30:52 in the video, so I don't know if you changed anything, but I think you could do without the shims, but a relief for the wheel, and use the faceplate cover that came with the wheel on the front, screwed through the wood pedestal, into the wheel behind the pedestal. This way you won't lose too much of the wheel to grip when adjusting trim.
@n8033fox2 ай бұрын
That was a concern initially. I only lost about 1/8” by recessing it behind the pedestal. The original faceplate was a 1/8” and the pedestal is 1/4”. By removing the front, I gained 1/8” of wheel exposure but when putting it behind I lost 1/4”…so really just lost 1/8” which isn’t awful.

Not finished watching the whole episode, but what about getting rid of the big monitor and using iPads or a smaller monitor and iPad? The iPads could sit lower and to the left and right of the yoke, thereby lowering your gauges. Air Manager works fine with iPads. Oh. And let me compliment you on the room you built in your garage. Looks great.
@n8033fox3 ай бұрын
Thank you! The ipads are not a bad idea and I considered this, even arranging them in an upside down 'U' pattern to wrap around the yoke. I just didn't do any testing prior to see if Air Manager can run the iPads, along with run on the desktop PC. It would need run on the PC as well to handle the Arduino board which runs the round gauge adjustment knobs. I'll investigate this further once back up and running. Cheers!

thanks for your scenery! i trained a bit. it seems to be very hard in xplane, even with a stol, like the maule. mostly because of the low braking authority. i have the feeling that ground friction is still pretty off in xplane in general. skidding and sliding as skating on ice sometimes...

I was the person who named Fish Lake. Winner of an international competition to name this remote body of water, my submission prevailed over all others to garner top prize. I was asked by news reporters afterwards what inspired the name? "Well, it was a lake and I assumed there were fish in it, since fish seem to like water. Therefore, I came up with the name Fish Lake." There you have it.
