7:46 Amen to that.🙏 Great review - thanks for your time and effort. I have both, not used the 3" yet, but for quick and dirty (without dust extraction of any sort, after a bit, you're just grinding that accumulated dust into your work surface) the detail sander has been pretty useful. Any idea on run time for the 3" using a 5ah or 6ah battery?
@BesserBuilds3 күн бұрын
So I havent tested that, and honestly I might not be the guy to do it because all of my batteries are several years old and get ck start heavy use. Maybe if I buy new batteries I'll give that a test, but I don't think it would be a valid test if I were to do it now.

I get your frustration with the Milwaukee, but I think you might have had a better time with it if you held it the way it was intended. The reason the handle is the shape it is, and the rubber grip extends to the top, is because you're meant to grip it higher up. The idea is that you wrap your thumb and index finger around the body and press the trigger with your middle finger. This is to aid in precision. By doing that, you centre the force from your hand with the centre of the chuck, aiding in accuracy and less cam out when driving fasteners. After holding it like this a few times, it just became natural for me. That being said, I think the tool is generally pretty good, but I pretty much agree with all of your other gripes. The digital buttons on top are just ridiculous. It adds complexity, more things to go wrong and cost, all in the name of creating a worse user experience and inefficiency. I also find it ironic that they went to the effort of copying Festools grip design in the name of accuracy, while providing a terrible locking bit holder that has lots of back and forth play and no auto-eject. I own a Ryobi HP impact driver and the bit holder on that is far superior.

Thanks for not giving a shot about how I cope. Everyone talks mess when I don't flip the material and don't use the miter saw for the flats but it's faster for me to just use the coping saw. Unless it's a really dense hardwood. Sometimes I think I should buy one of those coping jig saws but I get it done pretty quick with a hand saw so meh. Screw the haters. Appreciate ya

We all develop different coping skills lol. I pre measure my rooms, cut all my flats on the miter saw at once, hit the curves with the coping saw all at once then cut to length. Seems to work for me

Overall I think most of the annoyances with the Milwaukee installation driver seem to be overblown. I've been using this the past 3 years and it has been my favorite Milwaukee tool that I own. But Im also open to other brands so I'm not a die hard Milwaukee fanboy. I do appreciate how they are coming out with new products left and right and have the most in depth tool lineup I think out of all the brands. That being said, I can see how there are advantages to the Dewalt installation driver over the milwaukee that you pointed out. Thanks for the video!

How do you get the pins to lock into the wood?
@BesserBuildsАй бұрын
So before I add glue, I test fit and clamp it, the pressure of the clamp actually dents into the wood. Then ill add glue and use the dents to make sure everything lines up perfectly.

Honestly, I just go back and forth a little at a time. If you are looking to raise and lower it regularly, I wouldn't tie them together like that. It did work very well for getting the height correct for my tablesaw and I have left it there since

I agree with you ibly because the housing is so low you can cut much standing against the fence. Personally, I rarely bevel my saws anyways, so I don't mind, if I'm doing any kind of miter work on bigger stuff, I get the ple 780 out.
