As far as I know - Peter & Dave are the only two left alive. Dave's kind of the Archivist of the Tapes & such matters. Peter always had a great sense of humor. I liked the Entire Family Feel in that Group & luckily saw a "Sam Show"- he'd stopped playing w/them for the most part it seems. It was a benefit for a Radio Station that I think changed its format to Funk & Soul or something unlike 'Rock 'n Blues'. The last two Real LPs were very strong w/expanded abilities & the Nick Gravenites influence in many ways. Also a collection of Demos, Various works 'Can't Go Home Again' is interesting & a CD Import. They played a year or so ago in Union Square for free for a few hours in a tight unit. James Lived longer than I thought he had but put out at least one Solo Lp that I had trouble getting a grip on- such a good player as time went on though.

The only thing that might have been better would be if Kathi McDonald arrived a few days earlier. SHE was a great Singer; Janis was just popular but had a lot of problems. Her bitterness was obvious on Dick Cavett's Show re high school reunion as a 'get back at the mean kids in school' affair for an adult.

She should have stayed with Big Brother, they were exactly what she needed, but she couldn't see that. I loved her. I couldn't forgive Cohen for bragging about having had her in the Chelsea Hotel. Maybe he did, but I don't think he was her kind of guy, so I'm assuming a bit of wishful thinking in the hope of coming up with a song. He got the song.

My first LP when I was a kid was Cheap Thrills, yes that's right. My second one, bought the same day was THE DOORS.......you will be blessed if you touch my comment, and praise the Rock and Roll Gods. I have a special powers they granted me for having the foresight to buy those two LPS. I'll be waiting by my window, lighting my fire.

People need to understand, this is what actual musicians sound like. This recording may sound hollow and sloppy but it is not. The meter is solid, few missed notes and the vocals are near perfect. As a musician, THIS IS WHAT WE ACTUALLY SOUND LIKE. I think people have taken overproduction for granted. That is fake. Backing tracks, MIDI tracks, ear monitors with click tracks, plus the Protools and all that other garbage gives a false impression of how good the musicians actually are. What you have here is as close to real as you will get. Take these musicians and give them the toys that we all have now, and they will sound like what we hear today.

как это может быть 1968 год? Даже невооруженным взглядом видно что это выступление было до Monterey International Pop Music Festival. Это скорее ТВ шоу 1966 в Калифорнии, только не нашел какое. Но может и 1967
