FYI: Julia, Your picture is being used on the IM wigs website, under "gray wigs" I think the first word or name on the ad copy is "sublime" with photo of you wearing a grayish shoulder length beach wavy bob.

I disagree I love the curly blonde wig It looks beautiful on you.. I would definitely wear it! The second wig doesn't look bad just different.

I ordered a cheap wig on Amazon (not a name-brand wig) that looked cute. It is very fake looking because of the fibers, it sheds, but would be good for a costume party. The old adage still stands: you get what you pay for.

These websites are getting better too. It used to be so easy to spot out the bad quality sites but now it’s getting harder to tell.

Thanks Julia! Some people who have never warn wigs try these and then get so discouraged. I think that it is a shame. They can get a wig on sale for 45$ at the wig company or Paula Young that is a basic cap pretty wig though. I have bought a few like this in the past. Live and learn. But if you are new, you may not try better wigs if this happens to you!

Theu also use video from well known reputable wig reviews..very deceitful

I have been collecting HH wigs for six years. The pricing on these is very good. I would hope they would last more than a year. I have taken gentle care of mine, and I do have a number of them, and they will likely last for at least 3-5 years. It is important not to stress the lace in any way, especially careful about heat near it and pulling the wig by the lace, and storing it away from heat.

Julia, as always, your reviews are so thorough and excellent. When you first put the wig on, it looked like boxed hair. After it was washed and dried, it looked somewhat frizzy. When you styled the wig, it looked beautiful! Great demonstration!

Originally, I worked in the beauty industry. Maybe because I wore extensions back then, I couldn't help but be upfront about it. Many years later, I lost my hair due to breast cancer treatment, chemo & radiation... I looked forward to ending wearing wigs after 6 months wearing 1 wig and beanies. However, unlike the norm, my hair NEVER grew back all over my head. It seems I developed aloepecia as well as many other autoimmune disorders, something called CHEMOTHERAPY SYSTEMIC DAMAGE SYNDROME.(?) ANYWAY, I decided about a dozen years back to wear hair when I had to go to a party or special occasion. Then, I noticed my biohair began falling out and thinning in cycles. I battle these things related to my breast cancer cyclical. Finally, about 7 years ago, I began to wear wigs 9 months yearly, full-time, and the 3+ hottest months I wear hats, caps, beanies, or scarves in the hot weather and IF I have datenight with my husband, or somewhere to go in the evening, I wear a wig. I think these days, as I am a filmmaker now, I find it just as easy to tell the truth about wearing wigs, because I cast and create characters, so why shouldn't I have fun? That, requires realizing wearing wigs has come a long way, baby! Lol. My husband accepts this and enjoys being with many different women, so long as they are all me! Most people don't know I have a wig on! Thanks Julia for sharing...I do like this frank discussion and format.😊

I was 57 when I started wearing wigs and was so thrilled my hair looked good I told the first person I saw it’s a wig ( after my first compliment on my hair/wig)..lol I had never been complimented on my bio hair. I think I was just so thrilled. No one ever suspects it’s a wig. But my thoughts are even if they thought it was a wig it’s still head wayyyyy prettier than my bio hair. Education and spreading the word about wigs is my mission 🧡

I never keep it a secret I wear wigs. Many times I will get a compliment on my " hair" I always advise it's a wig. By disclosing I wear wigs it has given me the opportunity to help others(friends, Family even strangers) who might need to wear wigs due to chemo or other health issues.
