I've been watching stand yp for 25 years. I've seen thousands of acts and just spent the entire month at the Edinburgh Fringe watchnig comics but I just don't get why Brand is so successful. I can see he has masses of stange presents and I like him in the couple of films I've seen, but personally I don't think his material is very strong. But having said that he has made it as a not a writter like ricky Gervais, so he doesn't need to have good material. Anyway, that's just my opinion.
