In the US it has apparently become "there are millions who wouldn't" and there's even an equivalent phrase in French. It is definitely "thousands wouldn't."

Haha thanks, mate. I'm not too concerned about him winning over my country, though. The fact that he has been met with such tirelessly explosive controversy is murderously humorous in itself. This shows the world how stiff & woefully sensitive most Americans are. It's hilarious how the offence they took from Russell's comedy turned into burning abhorrence so quickly. The furor surrounding Russell's comments makes me feel as though I live in China or Russia - "free speech only when we agree."
