The strangeways brewery has gone now. Used to pass the brewery to work with the whiff of yeast in the air every morning, it cleared the head like a smellling salt

I’m not a fan of white stouts. May have to try this one since it tastes like peanut butter. Leah and I both like peanut butter. The stout I tried tasted like rubbing alcohol. Thanks for the review

You don't taste vanilla. It's a scent. It imparts "flavor" through smell

I don't see this much where I live in New England, but I went to Michigan recently and it was everywhere! Seems to be very popular there.

It is very popular in NY, but only at the big stores like Total Wine, and it is normal in the spirit section as a premixed cocktail. It is very good, and the Peach variety is very good. Thanlks for watching, Cheers.

Great review. I did a back to back review with this beer (2019 Edition - way back when) with the Willett Bourbon that they used (barrels) with this beer. Check it out. I think they did a DY-NO-MITE job with that year, but from you review, it seems like it has faltered a bit...Shame. Cheers, PROST, and Enjoy!

I did not mind this version. I did like it more than the IPA version, which I though tasted too much like the normal Jameson. Check out my review of this. I did the review with the IPA edition and also with a beer that was specially brewed to pair with the IPA edition. Cheers, PROST, and Enjoy!!!

Saisons can be tart, but not sour...They fall under the "umbrella" class of Farmhouse Ales, in which some of the other types under that class, Bier de Garde, for example share some similar qualities. Started in Belgium, the idea when it was brewed was for a farmer coming off the field on a hot summer day to quench his thirst - something dry, tart, and refreshing, but not sweet. For what you said, it sounds like this Saison hit the mark on most points....I would definitely try it....IF I could find it!! LOL..Great review!! Cheers, PROST, and Enjoy!

Awesome you got your hands on some War Horse! They are local to us and we’ve highlighted quite a few of their beers on the channel, most recently their Fight Pony which is a craft malt liquor. With these types of blends, I find the stout dominates the taste and smell while the barleywine lends smoothness to the mouthfeel... great review!
