Great reaction but is it;s even better live. there is live version from the 1981 Escape tour; Note The record producerd wanted to shortened the guitar olo due to radio contsraints. tStece Perry, the lead vocalist said no and argued with them for awhile They finally gave snd agreed to leave as it was recorded. This tells you what kind of person Steve was. He was somewhat of a perfectionist and often did recordings in just one take. His voice was just otherworldly and his control and heart felt singing made him almost untouchtable as a singer.Remember this was done before auto tune and all the enhancements they have today. Journey tours were just the pianist the the two guitarists, the drummer and Steve as lead vocalist. It must have been wonderful for their fans. I am a late journey fan. who discovered Steve on the we are The World perfomance on You Tube. the band had world class musicians.
