Not much to look forward too, according to this guy! 😂

In fairness he said he’d missed the preseason because of the Euros and was trying to get back in the team. Think he meant they were happy with the price considering he hasn’t played much this season, not necessarily that he isn’t worth the money. I have belief in JHT coaching him up
@bartolomejcernik4938Сағат бұрын
Yes, I definitely meant it like that. You don't really get this price for a non regular starter from Czech league especially in the winter window. He' can definitely be worth the money in the end, but he's a wild card.

Look at where Sainz was when we signed him. I'm sure Bilbao fans would've said similar.

Okay, just say something thank you Czech Republic it’s a wonderful country. God bless you the team who we got the player from and we will treat the player like a proper Premier League star if we get up to the Premier League

Very good assessment with honesty. Even the League Cup now has 4 top premier league teams in semi finals where it used to be a bit more open to lower league sides. Stand by to see same happens in fa cup from 5 th round onwards. The tv companies will be delighted whilst the fans of lower level clubs will be bored by the same top clubs playing each other in latter stages.

I agree that the Premier League has killed the cup comps (and football in general). A few seasons ago, I did stats doing 30 years before and after the change,and the cups have become more concentrated for a select few. It has killed my enjoyment of the sport. To answer the question, it was Borja Sainz (who scored a screamer) & Ben Gibson (nice set piece and his only goal for the club).

What a great piece, and a very valid sentiment. You make the argument so well, im a brighton fan, but above all, im a football fan first. Iknow how wr felt, when losing our ground and nearly our club, Norwich are a real traditional institutional club, and with so many others are finding the gap much bigger now to bridge. But like you i dont know what the answers are. I just hope the joy of the fair play, and hope of what if, stays in our game. Fingers crossed, good luck.

When Sutton utd beat Coventry in the cup , Norwich then beat Sutton Utd in the next round 8-0! I was at that game! Putting that aside money has ruined football. Bring back the 80’s and early 90’s when all teams had a chance in leagues and cups

Thought that Norwich started well but Seagulls took their chances at the right time. Norwich are a great club with some good young players so I hope they get back to the Premier League soon. (from a Brighton fan)
