Yep so sorry, that's to bad you guys picked one of the absolute worst years to try beet harvest. 19 was horrendous! The last couple have been pretty good with 2022 being a relative cake walk.
@allanw.lerfald51912 жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly, that snow storm was in October. That was the harvest that only got 40% completed. Cost to farmers was millions of dollars because they could not provide the contracted acreage to the refinery

We sold it to an awesome couple in Oklahoma. My husband ended up with a surgery, I injured my back very badly and we ended up settling down in Bend, Oregon to recuperate. We plan to replace it with an off road trailer pulling it with our Toyota FJ Cruiser. This allows us to take it (safely) in off road areas and get further out into the wilderness. I hope to document my husband building it and our adventures with it.

Spent a month in the summer of 1981 volunteering through the Student Conservation Association in both the N and S park. We camped just across the road from cottonwood off a service road. Every morning I would climb the hill next to camp that overlooks the valley to watch the sun rise. Every morning a big bull bison would feed through camp heading to the river making everyone uneasy the first week we were there. I left my mark in a few places along with others in our crew. A visit 20yrs later I found some still existed it will be interesting to see if any remnants are still around after 40.

Took my 28' 4WD Class C rv to Saline Valley Hot Springs by the south entrance a few years ago, and I agree with you: Don't Do It!!! Even if it's 4WD, it's still an rv! You could be there, or partway there, for a long time. Last time I went was by the North Entrance on a motorbike. Except for stretches of soft sand, it was a lot easier!

FYI , when ever the dash lights go out in the vehicle you are driving , most of the time the Tail lights are also out. The brake lights still work and so do the emergency flashers. Anyway that’s the way they were wired from the factory. I’m guessing that’s the way they still are. Thanks
@SeeMyHappiness3 жыл бұрын
Ricardo, it turned out the two were disrelated. I had accidentally loosened a connection to the dash panel the last time I was working back there. It was simple to fix; hard to diagnose. The taillights was a blown fuse. I had somehow managed to connect the tow car lights incorrectly even though the connection is keyed. Live and learn!

Very nice, thanks for putting this together. The last of the original wild horses at TRNP, thought to be descendants of Sitting Bull's horses, were removed from the park over 20 years ago. Some were rescued by Leo Kuntz and taken to his ranch near Linton. He called them Nokotas.
