Took my 28' 4WD Class C rv to Saline Valley Hot Springs by the south entrance a few years ago, and I agree with you: Don't Do It!!! Even if it's 4WD, it's still an rv! You could be there, or partway there, for a long time. Last time I went was by the North Entrance on a motorbike. Except for stretches of soft sand, it was a lot easier!

You were very lucky to get out. Lessons learned I am sure. Do your research, check SPA forum for road condition update. I am also sure that peeps at the HS was shaking their heads when they saw you guys.
