I have this error(varying last 2 digits) on a machine with less than 300 prints. Essentially brand new. Rarely used. Still the original toner carts. Oddly it only start3d doing it after i moved it from my house to my workshop. Any ideas? I mean i could understand on a well used machine, but mine is practically brand new.

@@NoComplyDistribution take the machine for a drive. Preferably sit the machine on a hard surface and make sure to drive on a bumpy road. It should dislodge the clump of toner that’s clogged in the dispenser.

Hello!. My HP M575 began doing this yesterday. It cleared after a boot but happened again. And today there is no way to get rid of it. So I ended here!. Even if I repair electronics for a living since 90s (my work is mostly on radio equipment), it seems a bit daunting work 😅 . But eventually, I should do it, as now I am printer-less and I need to print some things for my work almost daily (shipping labels and such). I will get back when I do the work. Thanks a lot for sharing it!

Just did this repair on an HP M551, and i have another that needs it as well. I thought it would be as easy as the CP3525 but i found once i got it opened up the solenoid was locked in there. There is a metal tab on the side where the fuser entry that i just bend outward which made it easy to get the gear assembly out. I want to thank you for the idea of heat shrink wrap as i previously always used electrical tape since the hp 4000 laserjet days. it worked well but there was a few repeats after a long period where the tape would come loose. I had thought about using Plasti dip spray/liquid but it has way too long dry period for field repair. It might work if i had pre repaired solenoid that way but not viable in the field on call. Heat shrink wrap works really well and i don't have to worry about it coming loose. Thank you for posting these videos! I currently don't work for a company but have done printer repair for many years and always love to learn and see what other technicians can come up with as alternatives. Also, i don't know why HP still uses this silly noise dampening pad. They have not changed the design and i guess they don't care as it probably outlast the warranty before failing. It is however a shame because these solenoid pads will fail just takes a while.
@phaselockloop8372
@phaselockloop8372 18 күн бұрын
Also meant to add, the very first time i repaired one of these solenoids on a HP 8150, tray 3 addon feeder if i recall. I cleaned the pad completely off and thought it was just there for noise only. However i found out real quick the solenoid stays magnetized enough to keep the plate stuck in open position. Then the only thing i could think of was electrical tape cause it was all i had at the time on me. I used to order the solenoids new but they were old new. as in new in box, but old sitting on shelf for long time. So they new replacements seemed to fail rather fast within months even. Sometimes we ordered refurbished ones but they were hit and miss on quality and had high failure rate also. So i just stuck with tape. Heat shrink tubing never even crossed my mind!

Top bloke ... I abandoned another video at the circuit board point as he wanted to strip the machine down to molecular level. Took it really slow but got there in the end. Did have 1 extra screw left [I think due to my note taking derailing at the swap over] but I was checking everything was tight and secure as I went - pretty sure it was one of the multitude of frame screws rather than holding anything important like the CB or the solenoid itself! Will monitor the patient and check the recovery is long lasting! Thanks again and [shortly], happy Hogmanay to you and yours from Scotland.

Thanks a lot. I managed to fix my beloved HP 3525x Laserjet thanks to your video. Encountered problems and hints: - after fixing the sticking solenoid with shrinking tube (12:56) and building everything together, the 59.F0 Error still occurred (making me mad) - I opened the printer housing again and turned the motor as shown (14:58), but like the first time, the inner cogwheel (15:13) wasn't turning as if the solenoid was already set. Solution: softly open the solenoid flap with a screwdriver from above (no need to remove any of the circuit boards), then turn the motor clockwise until the inner cogwheel (was now turning) stops turning with a clicking sound and the solenoid is set again. After building everything together no more error messages occured! Yayyyy... Hint: remove the CPU Board (4:39) first, then it's way easier to remove the back sheet metal cover (2:54).

Make sure the paper settings in the machine menu match the contents of the paper tray. Otherwise you’ll have to determine if it has a solenoid or motor driver assembly for the paper feed assembly. @@kohnhead72 There are 4 seperate toner dispensing tubes for each color. You have to follow the instructions to replace the one that is clogged. @ShyRockFreak86
@ShyRockFreak86 2 ай бұрын
This model probably has the pick up motor with solenoid in a small assembly, but I have a feeling it’s the plastic bushing that sits in the hole of the frame for the main pickup axle. I have not attempted to replace that bushing to see if that would fix the issue, which is a no pick misfeed jam, I presume. The process is similar in that you disassemble the machine and remove anything in the way of the pickup assembly. Things like the DC Controller, Low Voltage Power Supply(maybe), and brackets.. I’ve never had an M775 torn apart to know exactly.. I imagine the inside is similar to the CP4525, or M551/575 in that the pickup motor and solenoid are housed together in a bracket with a few gears assembly. Good luck
