weird how simple it is to just duplicate a pokemon like this, it's weird that they never encountered this during testing though i guess they never really expected this very specific and exact scenario to happen

@@thatcloveplant what is surprising to me is that nobody else ever found it before, or at least if they did they kept it secret like I did. Messing around with this you can actually transfer your eevee/pikachu to the professor, and I think it might even be possible to trade it away to someone else, and potentially briging it to pokemon home. I need my friend to get his copy back before I can test this, but I’ll let you know once I can if you’re interested!

I know a Nintendo Game Designer and they said that this was fake due to the Chapter it spawns in, it is only able to appear from a chest in Rogueport.

This is fake just to let you all know because the Ultra Hammer is coded into the chest that you get it from and has no other code to be in the chest, as you can see there are skips in the video.

Clearly you don’t know what you are talking about. Yes the hammer is coded into the chest, but that doesn’t change the fact that every key item in the game has a corresponding id the game use to refer to that specific item. That’s what is happening here, by being able to move while tossing away an item, you can open up the battle master menu and trick the game into tossing away one of his tips, but since his tips aren’t item when you select one to toss away you are telling the game to select the corresponding id. In the video you can clearly see the description of the item changing while I scroll through the battle master menu. Also the cuts are only there because I could only record 30s segments

@@TravisDoesStuffit still work on 1.0.1, and it does throw out other item, you can select the id from 0-57 since the battle master can have 58 tips. The only id that doesn’t work is the first one so 0 since it corresponds to a null item, but 1 for example is the strange sac, 2-3-4-5 are every curse in the order paper-tube-plane-boat (yes the curse are item), and then you have the normal boots / super boots / ultra boots, and after that normal hammer / super hammer / ultra hammer. After that you get into every key you can get throughout every chapter like the castle key in hooktail castle and then the blue key/red key from the punies etc.. the last one on the list is super luigi 2 lol

This is already being used in the speedrun and is called love skip since we can spawn the train ticket right after chapter 5 skipping having to bring the star to the door and the 100 I love you, and I even found out recently that you can toss the key item while grabbing another one and still being able to move, so we can now even spawn the ultra boots and the green key from riverside skipping another 2 minutes

@zZixAxX I could see why you gatekeep knowledge I do too because many Speedrun communities are toxic for example I'm aware of many things in paper Mario TTYD OG that it's Speedrun community doesn't know about and it's not like it matters because their currently hyper focused on the switch version anyways. There's basically a variant of ultra hammer early for example that could be done slightly earlier well actually now that I think about it the super jump version might be a few seconds faster. Prologue UHE effects some categories related to the pit runs though because doing a bit more extra damage ends battles faster. But it's smart to hold onto things so devs don't fix things and ruin categories you're probably one of the very few people who were smart enough to do that it's like common sense is lost on people.

@@coolperson5479 back when I found it, let’s go eevee/pikachu was the only pokemon game on the switch. I think this would most likely have been patched out if I had shared it at the time, that’s why I decided to keep it a secret 😅 plus I definitely enjoyed duplicating my pokemon lol I don’t usually interact with any speedrun community so I can’t tell, but in the case of the ttyd one every one has been really nice so far, you should definitely join and share your knowledge too! I’m really intrigued about that UHE on GC your talking about, if it’s earlier than super jump this probably means it’s some sort of new tech which could potentially leads to even more things who knows 👀 as the saying goes, raising tides raises all ships

@zZixAxX It requires no partner glitch and by the time it's usable you have access to super jumps anyways that's why I'm convinced it wouldn't save time. I just like to occasionally expand on old findings basically finding new applications for glitch's already known. In switch for example there's a mechanic where you could use paper mode to upwarp up some types of collision if that worked in OG it would lead to earlier BTS since it would likely give you positive Y speed to actually unleash the stored jump. That finding doesn't really work in OG though they changed the physics a bit.

@@coolperson5479 well I do remember seing really_tall mentioned she was trying to find a way to do UHE with item jump, and she did talk about no partner glitch jump, but I’m not sure if they ever were able to reach the UH chest using it. The thing with no partner glitch is doesn’t you need to skip goombella at the start?

I found a glitch. If you quickly use Koops to hit a button to a flying block and right before it takes off immediately switch to yoshi and ride on him. It makes you fall underneath the moving block and back onto the floor. Nothing game changing but I thought it was cool

Hammer a flip panel and hover with yoshi as soon as you can after and you can fall through the ground ;)

Yoooooo, what's even going on here, are you somehow converting some other ID into being considered the ID of a tossed item? Is this as huge as it seems? Also can you get ultra boots?

@@MrCheeze yes you can get the Ultra Boots instead which actually would be even better because you can get the ultra hammer after (I didn’t even though about that lol)! For speedrunning however, this can save about 10 minutes by allowing you to generate the train ticket right after chapter 5, which skip bringing the star back to the door and the 100 I love you! We are still looking for a way to perform this much earlier, which could be even more broken

@@monkeygaming2841 not currently, and we believe this might never be possible. The teleport room early route is dead because of the way they load room now, and the room to acces the train’s roof doesn’t have the loading zone the first time you visit it. What might be possible in the future would be to skip right to chapter 6 from chapter 3 if we ever find a way to obtain text storage in glitzville without DPG and bobbery

@zZixAxX It's unlikely TRE will ever happen in remake but BTS was proven via cheats to be theoretically possible with some new clip tech needed to be found. So the earliest I could see interesting things happening is either early chapter 3 or post chapter 1. Really all depends what can be done solely with just goombella because that could open doors for prologue pit which is a holy grail for challenge runners just being able to do relevant things in the sewers easily enough.

GameCube steps: Load up save files and use the other one to jump high and grab the Ultra Hammer Switch Steps: Ok so basically break the text boxes, unlock Ms Mouz so you can jump off the void during the tutorial, and break the multiverse to grab the ultra hammer
