Paper Mario TTYD (Switch) - Ultra Hammer Early (Without using Ultra Boots)

So yeah, this is technically ultra hammer early but not currently! So far the only way to obtain the double partner state is in a house of Poshley Heights, meaning we can only perform this glitch after chapter 6.. If we ever find a way to obtain this state earlier we basically have UHE

GameCube steps: Load up save files and use the other one to jump high and grab the Ultra Hammer Switch Steps: Ok so basically break the text boxes, unlock Ms Mouz so you can jump off the void during the tutorial, and break the multiverse to grab the ultra hammer

I found a glitch. If you quickly use Koops to hit a button to a flying block and right before it takes off immediately switch to yoshi and ride on him. It makes you fall underneath the moving block and back onto the floor. Nothing game changing but I thought it was cool

Hammer a flip panel and hover with yoshi as soon as you can after and you can fall through the ground ;)

@@jiyucy ms mows way to obtain double partner was the second method found by Glitchy// and most people stuck with it because it was way simpler, but he first found that if you manage to roll into tube mode and trigger the transition at the same time it also works

How did you discover this glitch? You need to tell other speedrunners about this glitch (and about double partner glitch with yosho and bobbery). This glitch could have some true potential in speedruns!

I didn’t discover double partner or that you can delay door with bobbery, but all the rest is me :) there’s been so much more development since then, and we would actually never need to perform this, since we found an even better and faster way to get it by withdrawing the battle master tips! They all have a corresponding key item id, and the one about Ice Smash happen to be the ultra hammer :)

@@marcsaloumsomething you should join the Paper Mario: TTYD Speedrunning discord, every glitch can be found in a channel where people post when they found something, and there is also a thread about double partner that contains everything found so far, and most important part are pinned :)

@zZixAxX You know it only works in basically pre chapter 7 for the current set up and you need bobbery from 5. Until they figure out a way to delay doors earlier in the game I can't see this being relevant at the moment. The key item generation is interesting so if it could be done bobberyless it could be done much earlier to get UHE since the TIP IDs supposedly correspond with Item IDs.
