This happen to me recently in 2025 My song that I thought was going viral even getting followers and all but come to find out its all gone because they said Detected botted views or plays this really makes me sad and upset that they shut me down I dont paid for stuff like this.

My account on the Distrokid website has a problem and it doesn't post my songs, after one of my tracks was suddenly deleted and it didn't mention why it was deleted and every song I upload still doesn't publish it. I want to contact them and they don't give me any phone number or information because I've bought the $89 plan twice which is $178 and I want them to send me my money and then log in with another email I feel like that's my solution.

A problem that I ran into is using the "Playlister Feature" that Distrokid offers on the pro tier subscriptions. Reaching out to playlisters for placement led to getting music taken down for "artificial streams" So a service that DistroKid offers provided artificial streams. I am so done with this company

It's happening because people who make playlist for business purpose put all kind of music that already works fine to have a "store view" for the people they try to sell their business, and then use bots for the plays, but the bots work on the whole playlist so your tracks being part of it get fake plays too, even if it's 5% fake Spotify can detect that and take down the track, that suck obviously, the only "solution" is keeping preciously your ISRC codes to reupload the track keeping the same statistics and spots on every peoples playlist (it kicks the number of fake plays detected when you re-upload)

I've been reading various concerns about distrokid . Distrokid is harsh in decision making. All I heard from other distributors, They claim a cut off of a portion from your earnings and they let you continue with business , unless spotify decides to take down you profile n songs . Otherwise, we will need to create our own websites and do business.

There's lesser damage being done by simply pirating the music than to listening through Spotify or other streaming platform. If THAT is the truth, then the system is completely screwed beyond repair. Even musicians themselves say it is better to pirate their music and send back a couple of bucks for a T-shirt or something. And the worse thing is that the scapegoat is not the streaming platform per se - it's the label, who screws everything up.

Guys, if you want to freely publish your own songs on TikTok with no issues and no copyright issues, you are better off not publishing your music with a distributor. Because once you do that, you won’t be able to use your own songs on TikTok.
