That was cool. I haven't used wood filament, I usually use PETG or ABS. Seems like ittmight have been faster to make those rings out of MDF or birch on tthe router, tho. I enjoy using my 3d printer, but man is it slooooow. haha

I would have modeled in the speaker screw holes for either self-tapping screws or for inserts. I'm currently working on a piller pod for my 04 RX330. This is good inspiration!

"Absolutely, it would be helpful. You can download the STL Files for this and mix it according to your preference. It doesn't come with a logo, so you can match it with any brand. That's why I left out the screw holes in case of mounting direction. The face where it screws on is 3mm thick, so it's recommended to pre-drill it."

Sorry, Buddy, I should have communicated this more on the Video. Here is where you can reach me ... I run an Architectural office full-time and do car Audio as a hobby, not a living. I did own my car audio shop back in the 80s and early '90s' and focused on Custom Fab then left it all to become an Architect from the skills I developed from Car Audio. It was very similar in Processes and a great course if you know the Fabrication Process. Certainly, did look at making these at one stage but don't have the time for that side of it anymore. My mk4 GTI needs a pillar speaker pods or at least a dash mount, the sound is all at my ankles. I seen a couple versions but they dont look good. Can you make to spec? I have a 5.25 an 4inch bullet tweeter i wanted together in a mold on the a pillar or dash mount.

I'm actually building dash pods for my 5.25 2way sets for my 2006 scion xb. 3d printed in ASA on a bambu lab P1S. I have a full 3d scan of the dash with and with out the stock speaker covers and A-piller trim. using it with an offset and some modeling for a perfect flush fit. the pods are ported chambers the DS18 PRO-FR5NEO 5.25" and DS18 PRO-DR1.354 1" Throat Twist On Compression Driver at the base of the pod uses the print and windshield as the horn. once this is all working i have a pair of 8 and 10in neos for custom door builds followed but a single 15in sub in a custom rear box tuned to 29hz

been looking at this as an option. For automotive thinking ASA over PETG, although still need a controlled environment to address stringing and offgassing... My application is a 96 Rover Mini Cooper, and trying to figure some customer pods for the door card, and a custom box for under the back seat possibly some 6.5 ported. I love this type of innovation.

Yea if this was made for a stereo integrity m25 tweeter and m3 mid I'd buy a set. But 6.5 is way to big.
