To think a lot of "Marching" band directors call this an abomination.
@InspadaveАй бұрын
I wouldn't call them an abomination, but they are boring AF. Their playing is okay at best.
@burneycainАй бұрын
The same songs and marches since way before I was a Longhorn in the '60's. And the War Hymn only says Good bye to Texas University. Last time the two played was 2011. A & M does play many other teams and they must wonder what is going on! I guess traditions are fine until you get a bonfire that gets people killed. Does anyone in the band smile like they are enjoying themselves? Just saying...Hook 'Em!
@sethj6483Ай бұрын
Seems like you are the only one here not enjoying yourself. Look into retirement homes, I heard those are fun.

Absolutely impressive! The discipline and precision of the marching, while playing music is really something. I wonder why some of the band member are wearing tall leather boots, and other not. Something with the Corps of Cadets or related to position/time spent with the band. Very stirring, even as a rehearsal. I wish they would televise this at half-times instead of going back to the talking heads in the TV studio.
@aggiebandmom17Ай бұрын
@russelltarner464 -- the band members who are wearing the tall leather boots are seniors. It is a tradition that they earn their boots for their senior year. They are custom made for each band member (who is able to purchase them), for those who are not able, there are pairs that they can borrow from the Corps of Cadets.
@russelltarner464Ай бұрын
@@aggiebandmom17 Thanks for the explanation. Really enjoy watching the band. Wish they would televise the halftime shows instead if studio talking heads.

As a former Aggie bandsman (‘76) this video gives me so much pride. What a great halftime show! Their legend will never die. Dignity, self-discipline, and enduring pride. This band was, is, and always will be the standard to which other bands strive to emulate. Gig ‘em!!!

Filmed too close up. Even the Texas T at the end. That's great if you're videoing a family member, but not for those of us who would like to actually see the formations instead of individual band members.
@howdyfilms3495 ай бұрын
Howdy! Since there are already many whole field videos of the FTAB, we try to give a different perspective than the others. And yes, we also video more for the cadets' friends and family.

One of the best FTAB videos I've seen. You capture the formations from afar. But you also - which is my favorite - get some really tight close-up shots. I'm sure the band members really appreciate those close-ups too. Bravo! Good job. *Love the FTAB!!!*
