Your story was so beautiful! I loved hearing how you stood up against the indiction and stayed home to have your little one. I'm a member of the 41+5 club right now and feeling like this baby is just going to hang out in there forever 🫣 My second was my latest baby at 41+6 and im thinking this baby is going to beat his record finally (this is my fifth).

I appreciate you posting this I am 40+1 and my doctor told me I need to be induced because they will not have a bed for me when I do go into labor, but I do not want that because it’s not medically necessary. I was crying all morning because the external stress got to me. After listening to both of your videos I am trusting God and leaving it up to him and you are right this is my birth and if they don’t have a bed for me, I can do it at home. Thank you so much for making me feel at peace.

Part of them pushing the induction is to cover themselves. Babies will come when they are ready but the risks also need to be taken into consideration. I think a way to ensure that mama and hospitals are empowered is to get the moms to continue their pregnancy and do things t their own pace. However, moms also need to be able to sign an agreement that absolves the midwives/doctors from any wrongdoing should things turn out undesirable. Doctors should be able to give their professional opinion but not push parents. Parents on the other hand, need to be willing to take responsibility and not sue or blame midwives/doctors. This sounds fair to me.

Does Pitocin given afterbirth give more pain? I wouldnt want to hypnobirth a baby naturally only to be put in more pain due to be given Pitocin. I get uterine atony and hv hemmoraged 2x now needed surgery. Id rather hv surgery than wreathe in pain with Pitocin for hrs.

Omg I can totally relate to the people calling and constantly asking if you had the baby yet. I'm only 39+3 and it's actually just adding to the stress every time a family member texts me to ask "How are you? Any signs of labor??" It's like, believe me- if was in labor, you all would know 😆

I cant tell you how stressed i am. Everyone is disappointed in me, the o.b kept calling to get me in. My boyfriend started pressuring me and we were fighting. Crying and upset and its been brutal! The nst tests were showing she was doing amazing and we had one o.b tell us he doesnt want anything to do with us, that my baby " could die tomorrow" even if my nst test was was perfect that day. Anyways, my next appointment is Tuesday and i know theyre going to try and induce me or talk me into it. Im going to decline, schedule another nst test and tell them to give me the weekend and see if she comes... I really hope she comes naturally. I am on the edge, ripping my hair out, my boyfriend is getting stressed and losing faith in me 😩 im in ontario aswell. Im 41 weeks and 4 days apparently. But i feel like mt due date has been miscalculated

Doctor also believed this eould happen as baby was in position early. I have been getting prodormal labor on and off for like 2 weeks. I unfortunately don't have any women in my life that I'd consider to be there that live close by. With my first home birth I did most of the labor on my own except when I needed my husbands help with some pain relief on my back or to make sure I didn't drown from falling asleep in the tub lol. Otherwise he was taking care of our 2 oldest daughters

Oh mama.. sending you so much love!! They've wanted to induce all 4 of my labours and I've not had a single induction. Every single birth experience had zero complications for both myself & baby, at home, with no tearing or interventions. I had to be strong in my convictions based on what I believed was right for us.
