My only disappointment is that why didn't i find you earlier. Great tutorial. Love the way you explain. Thank you 🙏

Why are the directions in the second row and moving forward different for the swatch than the blanket? It says chain 1 and turn in the swatch and chain 2 and turn in the blanket. Does it have to do with the size of the blanket? Thanks 😊

I’m wondering how you got two strands? Does the yarn just come that way? Or, are you using two skeins at a time?

I'm extremely new to Crochet. It's probably something simple, but I don't understand when you say, " working in multiples of 2 to get to 10 and adding 3 for the 13." You are an excellent teacher, though! 😊
@redesignedrose12 күн бұрын
Thank you so much and that is a great question! The pattern can be changed to a different size if you like. So if you want to make the blanket larger or smaller you would just create your starting chain with an even number (multiples of 2) and when you have the size you like, add 3 more chains :) I hope that helps.

@DeePeterson-lc2jg13 күн бұрын
Just finishing up my chunky blanket, it has been so much fun to do! Was wondering if you have any tips or tricks for going from one skien of yarn to the next and how you weave in the loose ends securely? Thank you for your wonderful tutorials!!
@redesignedrose12 күн бұрын
With these types of blankets it is very hard to securely weave in ends so I like to just tie a very tight knot and then cut the tails close to the knot. That way the ends don't come out and show themselves later on after use :)
@DeePeterson-lc2jg11 күн бұрын
@redesignedrose Thank you, that was how it seemed. I wove ends in, left them long while I thought about it! 🤣

You will likely need 6 or 7 skeins for that size :)

I bought a ton of this yarn before doing any research on how to do these so this was very helpful! I wanted to make mine a couple different colors, so instead of typing on a new skein of the same color.. theoretically i could just tie on a new color, right?

Yes you can absolutely tie on a new color!

I just watched your tutorial, and you make it look so easy. I am going to get some yarn tomorrow and make an attempt at my own. If the first one turns out, i would like some information on how to add a second color. Ultimately, i would like to have something with three colors. I will post my finished product. Thanks again.

Thank you for a wonderful tutorial! I just finished my first blanket and it actually looks great. I'm super excited! I used the Eternal Bliss brand from Hobby Lobby because I liked the color. Those skeins run smaller than the Bernat brand in yardage. I used 11 skeins for a sofa blanket with 25 loops. It ended up 45 inches wide by 90 inches long. Perfect for a tall person in a recliner. LOL Thanks again! I'll be making more😃
