Hey, I worked in TJ for a year and then went over a few months per time after that twice. This was 2010-2012. I started in Shanghai on an internship which paid 4,000RMB but needed help in the tune of 1,000RMB from my family back home just to survive. No going out, travelling etc. Just going to work and basic food. When I went to Tianjin, after I was poached after doing a white monkey job for an architect I was paid 5,000RMB but things were a bit cheaper in TJ. I then got a 100% bonus when I left and was offered a partnership in the company. I may go back one day... I miss Jianbing.

Finally found a reliable agent to take care of all my Chinese visa application challenges. I run to Mr Marcus Magee who helps me to get all my travel papers ready and he delivers within the shortest space of time with less service fee charges. I highly recommend him if you ever need a reliable agent to take care of your Chinese visa paperworks.

A native Chinese friend has VPN but when trying to create a FB account she gets a reply stating that she does not fulfill community guidelines whatever that means? Is it a matter in which language a Chinese applies perhaps?

It seems like all of the old guard of China expat vloggers have left
@austinguidry25 ай бұрын
Yes, I left July 2023. There were fewer and fewer reasons to stay for me personally. I had planned in 2018-2019 on leaving in 2021 or 2022. Pandemic delayed the plans. The craziness during that time also made essentially the entire European and American expat community (AKA the would-be vloggers) leave China and move on. Most of the remaining expats are Africans and Eastern Europeans, who aren’t really vlogging, from what I’ve seen. If they do, it’s usually for Chinese state-run platforms like CGTN or CCTV, 头条,or Douyin. They’re not on KZbin The expat life is a temporary life - it’s not immigration - and people move on to other things! Now that the weather’s finally nice, I will be making a video at some point to talk everything out! 🫡😎

Looking up via physical book may better? Give your brain some time to take in the information. And for the same reasons why physical book is better than ebook. I don't think smartphones make things easier for learning.. it probably makes it worse

Pandemic or not .. I think plenty of people are stuck in one place. Plenty of people do not earn surplus enough to travel. I think there should a concept of "Right to Travel".. as travel is such an important thing in a person's life. This is why they had pilgrimage in the ancient past. Traveling makes you open your eyes and gain wisdom.
