This video is really well made!! It was pushed to my recommended even though I never watched any pixel art videos or done pixel art myself (though I'm into game dev so maybe that's why). I can tell a lot of time went into this video and I really like your style, your art style too. I hope you start to gain more recognition since you clearly deserves it :D

I was shocked when I checked the views after watching the video, it had great advice and was clearly high effort so I'm glad that the random algorithm gods recommended it. I took notes on the key points for future reference so I'll leave them here in case they're helpful to anyone else. Misc notes - App: Pixquare - keep failed attempts to track progress - identify what to keep in focus and simplify design to let those aspects shine Badges - Keep the designs and subject matter super simple (Small canvas size) - Symmetrical designs work well, especially when starting - Make a base if working on sets - Reuse colors already on palate to make designs cohesive - Make sure you're zooming out to view work - If struggling with shape of subject: try blocking out the silhouette of a shape in one color, add in highlights to block out bigger shapes, and then add the shadows for detail Emotes - Identify focal point (where is it important to get the most details in?) - Find balance between cropping too much which leaves your character unrecognizable and not enough enough which leaves too much empty space around edge and not enough pixels for your character - Contrast important because details can blend together if too similar in value > if need to check quickly: add new layer on top and fill w/ black, then apply a saturation blend mode to layer and toggle on and off to make sure everything is visible Have a nice day :)
