These test drives are ridiculous. If you want to truly see what either the Lexus 550 or any of the new Land Cruisers are capable of… Take them through the RUBICON. Made 13 trips on this trail in our Land Cruiser FJ-40. Just driving down dirty roads n mud puddles, isn’t impress.

The worst thing in these prados and lexus is their positive offset wheels and and a 2.4 ltr petrol engine they could also pair a turbo with their existing 2.7 ltr petrol engine 2.4 and 2.8 are diesel’s engine

This is what I needed to see. The missing bits can be added in aftermarket including lockers. The 3rd row seats (which is what i need) however, can't be easily added aftermarket & most likely not safe for the kid going there.

I still don't understand what Toyota is doing. The new powertrain is a 4 cylinder turbo w/electric motor yet it's still only getting a projected 19 mpg in the city. Also, the projected cost for the new TRD Pro version is 68k ummm WOW. I really was excited until all the numbers were finally disclosed. Hard Pass
