Hello, a few time ago I saw a video of you doing a review of RMS uncover concealer. I can't find that video anymore. Could you please tell me your shade? It would be very helpful to me since I have a similar skintone. The video was short but very useful 😊

My family have an allotment, we have learnt that birds love gooseberries so I think that might be what happened to yours? We now keep them a small netting frame over them, it is not the most beautiful but means we get to eat them! Same needed for our currants and other berries :)

I have straight, & really long hair and if I were to curl my hair with a curling iron it would literally take hours 😅😭 wrapping it in a scarf is the easiest, fastest and best way. The curls turn out so good! Thanks for sharing 🙏🏼

I'll check out that book- thanks for the recommendation. It's definitely radical here in the UK (as it is in other Western countries). I personally don't know any other UK homemakers personally- just the ones I find online. Even in Christian spaces it seems to be rare. The cost of living and how expensive everthing is definitely plays a part, but also our mindsets of seeings wants as needs does too. I do think we all need to re-define our definition of wealth as you say, as well as our definition of 'work' and 'success'.

Amen! The mindset is a huge deal as well as the financial side of things, I do feel a gentle turn in the tide towards more understanding though which is great.

First video of yours I'm watching / listening to- love that you're a UK homemaker. I'm constantly seeking and re-seeking balance. I have a full-time job outside of the home, so balance is constantly on my mind. Thanks for recording this episode.

I'm 81 yrs old and noticed spots on my under arm at the age of 27 and I was scared to death my aunt took me to family Dr and he diagnosed it and gave me some cream for it i don't even remember what kind of cream.within a few years it was all over my body and I did not leave my house for almost 2 years not even to grocery shop I was devastated and I had 3 children at that time and had seen many Dr's nothing worked i was embarrassed Out of the blue I woke up one day and realized iwas ok I could see, walk, talk take care of my family no health problems at all no pain just a fading of skin color that not one person in my near and far family recalled it happiness to any other member. I rose up dressed and never look back even with the stares I still get today. I went back to school worked at a renown hospital and taught at a local community College and retired in 2016 at 74 yrs old 🎉

Well the U.K. got Opzelura Ruxolitnib approved for vitiligo. Wich is first FDA approved cream in history for the condition. We in Sweden has yet to get approval. But tbh IL 15 and other aproach coming within 5-7 years looks more promising. If you dont follow Umass university vitiligo blog by Dr. John Harris (he was part of the new drug) he is more than excellent. He worked on IL 15 before it was leased by Opzelura. Nvth look it up, they are professionals world leading researchers.

Oh my goodness Alyssa! This is the video I really needed to see and the encouragement I needed to hear! We too live a very ordinary, average life in the burbs of northeastern USA…and I often teeter on the line of being super grateful for our life here and also comparing myself to the many homemakers I see on KZbin whose home lives are inspiring to me but seemingly unattainable. Heading right over to your podcast as well:) Been a big fan of your content on Instagram and KZbin for a few years now:) Best❤

You're a Titus 2 woman! It's so awesome to listen to you valuing the MOST important job in the world. I have no husband and no kids, at 54, much to my regret and sadness, but I am a homemaker at heart and the job is just so important. Thank you ❤ BUT lest I sound ungrateful, I am currently in the UK working at my New Zealand job online and sightseeing in my off time. 3 months total in the UK, 1 gone already, and then a month in Canada. Probably lots of mums wish they were doing that! How ironic! Then presumably back to NZ to make my own little home again, God willing.
