3:34 why the bishop has to move?

Bishop guards e6. If you play Rb8 trying to save the rook, then rook captures bishop and after recapture bishop takes on e6 forcing king back to e7 and eventual checkmate
@nathanmccolloch
@nathanmccolloch Ай бұрын
@@endgamechess @2:50 the king could technically move to c6, right? Or did you just disregard that option because it would be even worse than e8?

Just a product of the time? What happens in 20 years, when more advanced chess engines tell that today's engine was wrong to disagree with Fischer?

you cant approach it under the lens of engine analysis to judge skill level. the fact people have engines now and can see "oh this move should have been made, it wasnt that briliant of a game" is just fallacious at its core. Modern players almost certainly would absolutely get waxed by fischer if they were brought up in his time. His elo gap between his 1 and the number 2 was higher than anyone has ever achieved. that should be what people notice.

Bobby Fischer his best tournament score only 2990! The highest tournament elo rating score is Fabiano Caruana 8,5/10 StLouis elo 3100!! Karpov Linares 1994 11/13 Elo 3040! Alekhine in San Remo 1930 elo score 3040! Fischer not 3000! Fischer about 2850! Arpad Elo tough wrongly that the chess rating average is 1400 and standard devotion SD=282,8 The correct numbers are the chess rating average is 1650 and SD) 256! We can not trust 1960s elo ratings! How stupid Arpad Elo got this wrong SD=282,8 So we get 200x200+200x200=80000 and we get square root 80000 is 282,8! Chess metrics founder Jeff Sonas used wrong standard devotion SD=166?? The Hard truth is that Capablanca in 1922 and Fischer 1967-1972 and Kasparov only 2850!!
