I've never seen a picture of Jimi looking depressed or really down. He's always at peace with Himself. Will always love Jimi.

shitty interviewer ugh - like so many other interviewers, not worthy of Jimi's legendary patience, intellect, and insight.

I thought this interview was an hour long, not 25 mins. Jimi must have gotten frustrated with her UNC thesis on counterculture and himself in it, and put the brakes on her. Or clapped them cheeks😂 either one back them, who knows what she looked like, but he was in a kimono 😂

She was a few years older, and not that attractive. But Jimi seemed to enjoy talking to her.

She was a USC student doing her master's thesis in counterculture and Hendrix's contribution. I honestly think though most of these unqualified press ppl were just trying to get close to him for one reason or another because he was an enigma, the females were so curious about his weirdness, and sexually aroused, this interview was supposed to be an hour, but only 25 mins is recorded. Why is that, I want to read her thesis from USC, where is it? You know what I mean

i read his book Hendrix on Hendrix by a guy who compiled a bunch of Jimis interviews, for a book and apperantly Nancy Carter was beginning to lose her hearing so she keeps talking over Jimi again and again. The author wrote "you can hear Jimis frustration in the recording" lol.

Yes she constantly talks over him, but she's not a professional interviewer, just a college girl with a crush on him, and trying to tie her fascination with counterculture with him as a masters degree from USC. It's bizarre her social studies probably got her laid like she planned 😂

I actually liked this interview and his answers reflect the good questions being asked. yes she did interrupt slightly a few times but that is a level of conversation.

Interviewers don’t know how to interview artists. They are horrible. But this is a great interview. You have to let the artists flow with their thinking and speaking.

Ok, so I'm having a moment here when I''m just going to talk about some of what made what we heard him play sound the way it did. You can tell that he realised that he had a freedom that others didn't. There were new things he found he could do on a guitar that others hadn't imagined were possible. Notice how today's technical skills all focus on how fast you can play, shredding. Even in the Woodstock movie that Jimi appeared in, people talked about Alvin Lee of Ten Year's After's dazzling speed. But for Jimi, there was no speed barrier that needed to be broken to do new things, to be more creative, more innovative, more unpredictable than any other musician in any genre, on any instrument, ever. not just in guitar but in music itself. Every different musical form that Jimi was introduced to, he made it sound different. When you listen to what he was doing with feedback, he would 'ride' it, not just getting sustain or distortion, but using it (in conjunction with his wah pedal) as an extra level of both manic wildness and deliberate control to shape and accent the notes and give them a life of their own. Yes, of course there was a shamelessly playful pyrotechnic showmanship he drew upon, but that didn't mean he was at all wrong to express contempt for the press's dismissal of his on-stage antics as gimmicks: he brought so many astonishingly new and different things to music, trying to separate what was superficial from what ultimately turned out to be the richest legacy of inventiveness of any musician was just as pointless as trying to cut him off mid performance, as they did in this video.

Not rare at all...been around for many years...this guy was also known as "Meatball Fulton", working for some random "Network" named ZBS....Mr. Meatball released this interview on vinyl, back in the early 80s...notice how he praises his style of interviewing Hendrix...truth be told, Jimi was a much easier interviewee, during the first year or so of his meteoric rise to fame...Jimi was very open for this interview...later on, not so much.

I had a deer surprise me last fall...i was walking through the woods, early one morning, had a bb pistol IN MY HAND, i use it to run off snakes and bears and coyotes, not to hurt them, but just to run them off if they threaten me- Im NOT a hunter- And i stopped, and looked to my left, and there was a big doe, 8 to 10 ft away...looking right at me...BIG BEAUTIFUL EYES, and i said to her, im not gonna hurt you, sweetie, and we stared at each other for 30- 45 seconds, and she took off. Im so glad i stayed cool. Hes talking about that same thing those two brothers talked about, the 'alpha jerk' thing...where you can fall into twilight sleep and you can either live or die. And the thing about dreaming in color- that indicates creativity.
