Jimi was so freakin' fine, with one of the sweetest smiles I have ever seen. I have been watch other LIVE interviews with him & he shows such raw charisma like I have never seen before. After all these years I have never actually seen footage where he spoke instead of sang & he is so freakin' awesome as a naturally honest & decent human being.RIP Jimi, you will live on as long as this earth is spinning. : )

I have enormous love for Jimi.... but it makes me sad to see how much pain he had to endure in life and to die so young without ever getting peace. Jimi was such a good and pure person. He gave so much to people because he genuinely cared. It's too bad he didn't have a close friend to look out for him and protect him from manipulators that got to him. Well anyway, God bless his soul. Thank you for the gifts.

I was born in 1983, but Jimi has always been one of my very best friends. I can't quite explain it, but I know there are people out there who understand what I mean. I grew up in the music industry. I grew up around celebrities and legends. I've always just seen them as regular people. I've never been starstruck or put anyone on a pedestal.. (even the Beatles), but I definitely idolize Jimi. He's like a big brother who died before I was born. I love this man.

He said: “You know the song we had named ‘Purple Haze’? (It) had about a thousand, thousand words… I had it all written out. It was about going through, through this land. "You got to tell the children the truth they don't need a whole lot of lies. Because one of these days, baby, they'll be running things. So when you give them love you better give it right" Jimi Hendrix Those who love spread truth. Those who hate spread lies. Those who hate and created a world swimming in a sea of lies murdered the body but they can’t kill the spirit of Jimi’s message and love that lives on within many forever. The haters who murder rock stars are the same haters who murder kings and presidents. It's an unnatural thing to be a Rock star and one of many illusions presented to the duped masses as “success”. Rock stars don't make themselves famous they are made famous quickly and unnaturally. And in return for being made famous they are under obligation, knowingly or unknowingly, to cooperate with those who made them famous. And those who made them famous believe that they have the right to make them even more famous by murdering them if they don't cooperate. True success is to see what they don’t want you to see and to learn what they don’t want you to know before you pass. The most truthful and forbidden documentary ever published has been taken down from theirtube countless times since its 2017 release: "Europa The Last Battle".

Ok, so I'm having a moment here when I''m just going to talk about some of what made what we heard him play sound the way it did. You can tell that he realised that he had a freedom that others didn't. There were new things he found he could do on a guitar that others hadn't imagined were possible. Notice how today's technical skills all focus on how fast you can play, shredding. Even in the Woodstock movie that Jimi appeared in, people talked about Alvin Lee of Ten Year's After's dazzling speed. But for Jimi, there was no speed barrier that needed to be broken to do new things, to be more creative, more innovative, more unpredictable than any other musician in any genre, on any instrument, ever. not just in guitar but in music itself. Every different musical form that Jimi was introduced to, he made it sound different. When you listen to what he was doing with feedback, he would 'ride' it, not just getting sustain or distortion, but using it (in conjunction with his wah pedal) as an extra level of both manic wildness and deliberate control to shape and accent the notes and give them a life of their own. Yes, of course there was a shamelessly playful pyrotechnic showmanship he drew upon, but that didn't mean he was at all wrong to express contempt for the press's dismissal of his on-stage antics as gimmicks: he brought so many astonishingly new and different things to music, trying to separate what was superficial from what ultimately turned out to be the richest legacy of inventiveness of any musician was just as pointless as trying to cut him off mid performance, as they did in this video.

Toney--actually he noted to me that he wasn't on anything---which is what makes it an interesting anecdote...also he is not the only person who had this type of experience with Jimi---check out Pete Townsends aaccount in the Book Crosstown Traffic---- peace
