I’ll never forgive Greys for killing George. They had a way to write him out just fine with him leaving for the military, his death was just an unnecessary excuse for him not to return in later seasons. To be honest most of the deaths in the show feel this way and I hate it.

I think one of the biggest things that gets overlooked about Bailey is that she was just as much a teacher as she was a doctor. & her relationship with George is so indicative of that. He was that student who grows up & becomes your colleague, your friend, & then a part of your family… O’Malley was her favorite, we’ve all had a favorite, & we’ve all lost one… you never, ever recover.

This is lovely and so bittersweet (I just saw the show, finished the other day, and it’s just bitter, I’m so sad for Luke). It’s nice seeing the happier moments, he was a good guy who’d have learned from his mistakes in another kind of show.

When they killed George O'Malley off the show, i went through a loss as if someone in my family died and stopped watching the show. I saw George and Bailey as son and Mother in how they interacted and went through changes. I liked how he let Meredith know who he was before he passed away.
